Well we have about 6 DSM in my area that I know of.... I am 1 of 3 true AWD, a GSX swap, and some GST's
I am sure some others but that are on the Turbo scene @TalonSpeed I am in the process of modding mine.... it is bone stock ...so a good platform no BS...
 
Bump, long time no talk, how's everyone doing? Updates on cars? Good news? Hell just still alive?
Still here in Melbourne with my '92 Laser AWD, same problems, no change. Runs and drives with JDM powertrain swap out several years ago, but still exhibits bucking and popping at hard turn when leaving stop light or in parking maneuvers. Have had several techs look at it, many things replaced, swapped out, or serviced, nothing has any effect on the condition. I keep wondering if somehow the JDM powertrain is not compatible with the CV joints.
 
We are still around..... We have 3 AWD here in Central Arkansas.... I am in Benton, one in Bryant, a GSX swap in Hot Springs, have GST in Benton we are currently working on now putting head back n this weekend and timing.... I know of another GST in LR....

I guess there aren't very many Laser AWDs left, since they were not plentiful to begin with, and all 1Gs. I have been thinking about selling this one though, could use some simplification.

Also, those JDM trans, transfercase, and rear end have different ratios. They are not comaparable with USDM cars at all without swapping out some parts (transmission) If one part is used in the system, it will bind them. You can google or search on here for more information.

Like you i have JDM evo3 trans in my 1995 gsx. The only to make it work is to swap out some ring gears and that's what i have to do to mine.

Check and see if that is the culprit. Jacks transmission did a nice video on how you can find out what ratios you have on youtube.
