Hello everyone, so for the past 2 months my build has been underway. I'm having a 6 bolt motor being built for my 95 GSX. Basicly what I am wondering is what kind of limits do I have with the following setup regarding horsepower and estimated 1/4 mile time. This setup will be run on pump gas for a while until I can get a e85/vp race gas tune.

Everything is brand new. -6 bolt built shortblock
-new crank
-acl tri metal race bearings(main/rod)
-arp main studs
-manley rods
-je pistons
- Engine gasket set
-cometic mls headgasket
-mitsu OEM front case/oil pump
-oem water pump
-kevlar race timing belt with oem tensioner&pulleys -6bolt oil pan
-arp headstuds
-6bolt cam sensor
-Break in oil / regular oil and filter after oil change -Coolant
-Lightweight aluminum 6bolt flywheel
-competition clutch kit to handle power (act have issues)
-transfluid / t-case fluid
-Bep turbine housing
-8 blade hx35
-Oil feed/return line kit
- ss punishment O2 housing/tial ewg&dump pipe
-4" fp cast intake (full kit) -1000/2000cc injectors
-Walbro 450 pump
-Afpr kit / ss braided line kit
-ecmlink v3 FULL / socket eprom ecu.
-speed density kit + tap and tig weld ic pipe for new sensor.
Punishment racing fmic hks bov

You really should have had a goal before you just throw parts at a car and ask what "What can I do with this?"
How did your engine builder know what part to use?
What was your rational for the given parts?
What do you intend to do with the car?

The limits are with whoever does the tune.

Here is some good info related to this topic: http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/project-management-and-building-a-dsm.421705/

Sorry I forgot some stuff it's really a lot to list.I forgot the rods are actually billet crower I beam rods. I do have goals for the car. I plan do daily it at atleast 500 whp. I have a 1g head 5 angle valve job. New valves. Spring and retainers. 272/272 cams the whole nine yards. Jmf race smim with a boomba 70mm throttlebody. Fp exhaust manifold. But I do want to have a 2nd tune like I said with e85 or some type of race fuel. I can get vp c16 in my area but I'm not sure about e85. That's why I'm wondering the limits.

I'd recommend changing for the hx35 to a hx40 6 blade, The 7 blades are better for the 35s. If you plan to do e85 do the biggest injectors you can so you can squeeze all the fuel you need from them. Race gas you can use whatever size you want for pump gas, you'll just be able to run more timing. I wouldn't run c16 due to it being leaded, vp has unleaded gas that'll be more o2 sensor friendly. Also for bigger numbers I'd say switch to t3 instead of bolt on. Lot more power to be had. Just my $0.02 tho

I will switch to t3 eventually not anytime soon though. this is going to be street car/ daily driver so I'm happy with the current turbo/manifold setup because the spool is going to be real nice. But I do plan to switch to an hx40 in the distant future. Is 600 hp feasible with my current setup on pump gas

DSM, 500 whp, and DD don't go together well. Especially the DD part. There are many threads just like this that go nowhere. Good luck with your build.

I can assure you this is going somewhere.. Like I said the build is already underway and can see light at the end of the tunnel... And I'm not going to beat on the car every time I drive the dam thing.

Hmm might want to tell my spyder that.. Even with a stock 7 bolt its holding up just fine at right around 500awhp on e85.. I dont daily it but I wouldnt hesitate to if I didnt have 3 other means of transportation. Up until last year I DD it at 450+. Also Mr Peepers 1g runs low 10s and drives around better than most stock DSMs.

600 on an 8 blade hx35 in a BEP housing? Definitely not. Honestly you'd probably be lucky to get 500 to the ground. IMO your entire engine build is overkill. But in most cases its a good choice. Read through this holset faq page.. http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/holset-turbos-faq.362444/

I think my idea of a daily driver varies a bit from yours.

Yes she's my daily LOL. Yeah I know it's overkill but that was my intentions trying to make it reliable. f*** it I guess I'm just gonna go for either 400 or 500hp and il switch off to either an hx40 or a different turbo that will get me 600+ without sacrificing to much spool time
