I was doing some work in my engine bay today and I noticed a loose wire near my firewall. Does anybody know where its supposed to go to?

The wire is on the driver side of the intake next to the brake reservoir, and goes into the harness in front of the intake. Its a singe wire with a connector.

The car is a 1997 Eagle Talon 4G63

It looks like it might go to the aluminum cylinder bolted to the intake:

That wire goes to the small cylindrical piece attached to the intake manifold (post #1, pic #2). The cylindrical piece is a noise condenser. It absorbs and buffers electrical frequency interference. While it is not absolutely necessary, it is beneficial to have installed as it reduces charging and ignition system noise most noticeably detected through your radio.

goes to a noise canceler. you'll want to get that fixed or replaced. helps with radio interference
