I've Been tearing down a gsx and just separated the head from the block. and the piston domes read t3d-Tm1.

the transfer case and the rear end are 2g... I'm assuming whoever had it before maybe purchased a jdm engine/tranny package as a replacement
 
Interesting...Has it run in this configuration yet? If not, make sure that the front diff crown and pinion gears being used are the DSM ones or else your front and rear wheels will turn at different speeds. Very very bad :cry:
