Well guys, after a long absence from the site along with being out of country I am back. I pulled my car out of storage and welded up the seam on the radiator that had busted after a previous mishap. After pressure testing it, I reinstalled everything and prepped the car for start. Good Power, Fuel pump is running with good fuel pressure and I held the start button, after a couple of cranks the car fired right up.....then I smelled fuel...and heard it also like water flowing!!!! YIKES!! Hit the kill switch and jumped out. Sure enough, there was a tear in the fuel line right were it goes through the floor board and feeds to the Fuel Pump. Come to find out while I was out of country my dad had to done some re arranging in the shop and he put a bunch of crap in the back of the car. He should have known better being as hes a car guy and I grew up in the pits of the dirt track working on his Street Stock. But at any rate I figure the weight of something pushing and rubbing on the line must have tore the line. I'm not sure how I missed it seeing as Ive spent the last week going over every inch of my car making sure all the lines were good, good fuel, good oil, good spark...everything......Now I'm ordering some new line, What I don't get is this, If I had a tear in the line how was it able to maintain good fuel pressure???? Maybe the line just gave way after the fact. but the fuel pressure never dropped once! I am waiting for the fuel to evap so I can go wipe it down. Ill try to keep up on the forum as much as possible guys. My life has been really hectic since I returned over 6 months ago. But things are slowing down a bit.
PS I got Married, and lost an old friend of 20+ Years to PTSD (RIP Bro) All in a few months of returning home..Crazy
