So trying to bolt on the transfer case to finish the auto swap, but the transfercase won't fit. It's almost as though the driveshaft is too long. All motor mounts fit smoothly, using an automatic passenger side mount with a prothane insert, a rear avid (billet) from my 5 speed (bolt slides in smoothly), a bullfab cross member with a solid mount and another billet avid racing drivers side mount. And the driveshaft is a DSS one which fit perfectly with the 5 speed setup last year.

The transfer case is too far forward by about 1/4" to 1/2".

Any one done an auto swap before and know where I went wrong?

Yup, I sure do. I'm thinking it might be the bullfab cross member. Perhaps there's a different one for the auto.. But then again, even if there was, the rear mount shouldn't line up the way it does now. Right?

For the record, this is for a 2g.

Ah, I am not sure about the 2g's but the 1g crossmembers are the same for auto and manuals. Hopefully someone else will chime in, I'm sure that you want to get your car fired up... You must be hoping to have the car ready for the shootout, eh?

Yeah, its cutting it super close though. Need to bolt this up, wait on my center diff welding then install the fuel lines and cell on Tuesday when the fuel lines arrive. Will need some crazy luck to manage to mash it all together in time. Already turned it into a rush job. Nothing that cant be cleaned up though.

I also checked inside the driveshaft and the center diff and cant see any debris stopping it.

Just to update this, finally got a chance to try out the stock crossmember with a 5 speed Avid billet mount and it all bolted up properly.

Seems the Bulfab crossmember I got wasn't properly built, will be sending him an email about it.
