-Problem started with 1st gear pull with a big backfire, then it slowly stumbled and died.
-Wouldn't start up.
-Checked fuel pump Via The test connector on firewire but I jumped the blue connector to the + (read that was the tach something arfter words).
-Noticed the Ignition module wasn't plugged in due to broken clip (new one on the way).
-Got it running, but it sounded like it was missing and idling low.
-Reflashed Evo 8 ECU with tune. Still no help.
- Replaced Ignition module still missing and running low. Logged 1000rpm tach showing about half.
-Checked spark on all 4. 2 & 3 were not getting spark still.
-replaced coil. Still will barley run and logging double what the tach is showing.
-Checked ECU pin 23 felt solid. Checked the ignition module pin that was same color as pin 23 on ecu. that was good, but when checking the ignition module pins, I broke the plastic connector, (new one on the way).

So I am lost as to where else my problem could be... Please help. Profile is updated.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Ignition module or the wiring that goes to the ignition module. That module is the source of the tach signal for the dash tach. The rpm signal for the ECU is obtained some where else.

I have already replaced the ignition module. Still no spark at 2 and 3. Where should I be looking? I've checked the main connections :(

Either the wiring to the ignitor, the ecu outputs, the ignitor or the coil is bad. Do a continuity test for the wiring, swap the trigger wire pins at the ignitor a a the plug wires to check the ignitor and coil.

Ignition starts at the Cam and Crank sensors (or CAS on a 1G). If your missing one or more of the signals there the car will misbehave. Those signals go the the ECU and it charges one or the other coil via the power transistor. If a coil is open it won't provide voltage at the PTM and you won't get a pulse to the ECU since it's not firing.

There are tests for each in the no start guide and make sure the wiring hasn't been hacked in the engine bay. Since you changed the PTM it's time to look at the rest and the wiring.

Thank you guys for the help.
I will be doing the tests from the no start guid tomorrow, and I will report back with my findings.

Update:
Switched out CPS with a known working one and re-flashed ECU. Still no spark on 2 and 3.
Going to Test Crank sensor tomorrow. Didn't have too much time after work.

Resolved.

Seems it was the ECU.
Switched the stock one in and engine sparked on all four.
Threw the EVO 8 ECU back in and only 1&4 Sparked.

Bought a used EVO 8 ECU and everything is running good now.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and help.
