I was wondering what everyone's experience or thoughts were on ebay BOV and wastegate flanges. They are cheaper than the manufacturer part and it doesn't have any moving parts to break like a turbo. I'm just concerned with machining of flanges to be sure they fit properly and if anyone has had any issues. V-band flanges would be the biggest concern like Tial MVS, MVR and Q plus turbosmart gate and BOV.... the list goes on.

They do work, but they dont last. Just like the BOVs, westegate comes with shitty diaphragms you should replace immediately with a name brand rebuild kit. By the time you make one work right, its not that much of a saving, the ebay bovs are wonderful though as long as you make your own diaphragm with a bike tiretube or use the stock 2g diaphragm in the greddy rip off. Most people just dont know how to adjust a bov properly on a car with a mas so they blame the bov.

Some ppl will tell you it's OK but if a wastegate fails closed you have infinite boost, which can scatter your engine all over the ground. Is that worth $100? In my opinion no

I think he's talking about the FLANGE of a bov or wastegate. I do not weld:banghead: so I don't know. Maybe UrbanSmoker or or many other great welder a here can put in there opinion but I'm guessing the exact fitment needs like a v-band would be an issue.
