Does anyone know if my diagram below will work? My car is a 1997 2g GSX, and I am trying to install my Kiggly crank position sensor. What makes things complicated is I have a 1g 6 bolt (head and block). I've searched other threads but everyone basically says its easier to just install the 1g CAS, and let it account for both cam & crank position, but I would like to retain the Kiggly sensor in my build for crank position accuracy. Also, I already have the motor properly timed with Kiggly sensor installed in the car.

I should mention that I will be using an Evo 8 ECU with TephraMod V7. My theory is if this does work I wont have to check timing with a timing light also.

(Stole the diagram below from RRE and modified it)

Bump? I wired it up like this over the weekend. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to chime in. Otherwise I will update this thread when the time comes for others..LOL

Sorry, I should have been more clear. The wiring on my diagram is slightly different than the one from post #5 from Snaps of that thread.

The difference on my setup on my setup is I decided to leave the crank sensor plug alone, and install it directly to the Kiggly sensor (plug and play).

Then, for the cam sensor I cut off the 2g pigtail, and soldered in a 1g connector. Leaving the yellow wire unconnected, I soldered together blue to white for signal, the reds for power, and blacks for ground instead of splicing into the crank wire harness.

Just wanted confirmation that this would work. I'm realizing now that I probably shouldn't have created another thread, and that this will most likely be alright.. For some reason I overlooked the post where "Snaps" said it worked for him, and confused "NHerron" as the OP when he said that his project was never finished. That's what I get for working on this late into the night, and getting on here. :beatentodeath::heystupid:
