Does this engine mount look like it needs to be replaced?

I'm not that mechanically inclined so excuse me if I'm wrong with this being an engine mount but i think that's what it is. Any way it looks worn out should it be replaced? I just had my belts changed and I figured my mechanic would have said something if it needed to be changed but at the same time it looks really worn.

Wow, yes you should replace. And find a new mechanic. I would not have let that leave my shop without recommending to the customer to replace it. I would also check the other three mounts.

I would say that mount is at End of Life.
Maybe someone can answer to this more but maybe you can get new bushings for those mounts but dun quote me LOL

Get the solid polys to get rid of engine twist and put that torque to the wheels. Cheaper than all new mounts and much better.

I notice you have a spyder, when we went swapped the dohc head onto the 2.4 the motor mounts from the turbo engine interchanged so you should be fine.

Thank you for posting that, I wasn't sure I am in no way a mechanic ahah... but the mount itself didn't seem bad so figured maybe the bushings could be replaced.

That driver mount is by far the easiest to do. Support engine, remove the 2 nuts 1 bolt from engine side, remove long bolt from body side, pull out mount.

Theres utube vids on installing the poly bushings, basically cut the metal ring part of the bushing with a saw in a few sport and pry it out, then press in the new bushings.

does your engine not just fly back and fourth when you stab the throttle LOL?
It actually surprisingly doesn't, which leads me to my next question. Is it okay to drive it like this until Im able to get the part in and get it fixed?

Well the front and rear torsion mounts must not be ripped in half them. Its probably been like that for awhile, you'll be fine, just avoid hard launches. The poly mounts will increase body vibration at idle a bit, but they will never need replaced and like I said help quite a bit.

Thanks for the help, just ordered those poly mounts.
