Hi there, mostly browse/research on here but this issue has gotten the best of me.

I just got the a 91 Talon AWD together and back on the road and am experiencing a difficult to determine fuel cut at mid-high rpm boost.
Stock motor has new gates belts, timing components, water pump, fluidyne crank pulley, 150 psi compression across.
Setup
255 Re-wired
AFPR
Precision 880s, stock rail
Stock fuel lines
Fuel filter-looks new from outside, not sure of replacement date
(drained system& flushed w/ new fuel, filter flowed well)

BLT to 30 psi, no real leaks, tb seals SLIGHTLY but have never caused issue.
Emissions deleted
Stock 1G ignition and timing, base -5deg
new wires
10k km plugs, look good
stock smic, hard upper piping, stock bov. hks elbow, stock IM
small 16G on gate pressure (12-13 psi)
3" turboback w/cat. FP manifold
Zeitronix WB02, Boost Sensor
Dsmlink V2

02's are 10.9-11.4 until 7k rpm when cut hits. Only idea I have is that maybe stock maf, which is reading 1900-2000Hz is being overran? Breakup happens mostly in 3rd gear, CEL blinks, Knock counts (3-4 deg).
Car is plenty powerful and runs well overall. Idles steady ay 900-950 but will randomly idle at 2000 rpm after hard run for a few minutes until it cools down, then idles normal. This cut has got to go, hoping to hit upper 12's with this setup in a few days, well, at 18 psi:)

Thoughts appreciated.
Thanks

Log injector duty cycle to make sure it isnt hitting 100% or something. A way to see if it's the MAF or not is to clamp it right before the point it's cutting off and see if the problem changes. You're just gonna need to watch the AFR like a hawk since the airflow will be static after the switchover point.

I sorta doubt you'd be overrunning it, my friend had a big 16g on 26psi on the stock MAF.

Injectors are at 50% duty cycle, MAF is clamped at 2000Hz. Just did a log MAF peaks at 2150Hz (Airflow 214 gm/s) then one second later before cut airflow quickly drops to 1600Hz @ 6600 RPM, at the same point in time AFR's drop quickly to 12.9-13.2 and Knock ret @ 6 deg.

I'd be surprised if it were overran aswell, just thinking out loud.

Hmm, well here we go.

Looks like I need a new MAF, guess the setup flows well:):rocks:

Ohhh you have a 1g, yeah that's overran with a 16g then. I didnt see a build thread and just assumed it was a 2G, which is good up to about a 20g depending on the setup. I'd go with an Evo MAF, you can get an adapter plug and it'll be good for most anything you'd throw at it. I'm not sure if they work with v2, but I'd think so.
