Back in the day when I first entered the DSM world (2010) there were plenty of quality short throw Shifters around, Dogbox was a really popular high quality one. But now 5 years later Dogbox is long out of business, and a quick Google search hasn't found much for '95 - '99 Talons/Eclipses. I found a bunch of $35 eBay shifters (junk) and of course the venerable Megan Racing short throw kit (REALLY junky!! I had one, lasted a few months before wearing out the bushings and snapping, leaving me stuck in 4th gear in heavy traffic. BAD DAY!!).

So is there any 2G short throw kit still made that's worth a hoot? I found a B&M kit, but it was near $200. Anybody try those? Any other options that aren't $200!? I'll pay it if I have to because quality and function matter to me, but jeez $200 for a metal rod and a bolt or two...

Thanks guys!

Thanks for the reply DXC!

Really? No one else has any suggestions? Back in the day there would have been 10 replies by now!!

You really are not going to top the B&M quality. It was $160 new back in the day. They usually go for $80-100 used when they do pop up. Although you could probably fetch near near the new price if the unit is complete and functioning. I swap mine into any DSM I get.

Here's what ebay gets you, but a little cutting and welding can save you some money.

Does anyone have a part/model number on the B&M short throw? I want to see if I can track down any new ones still in shock somewhere on the internet. I'm sure some warehouse has one kicking around in a back room somewhere!
