Just finished the nitrous install and did my first nitrous tuning this morning. Boy does a tiny little 35shot help spool that turbo. Goes from 10psi to 20psi now in 300rpms. :O haven't tried the ALS yet. Car was acting stupid Friday night and I didn't make it to the track. Previous owner's 6 bolt swap wiring was a little janky. He used electrical tape instead of heat shrink. The tape came off where the crank sensor wiring is rigged for the 6 bolt and was grounding out on the IC piping. Finally found that and got it fixed. Gonna give it a try Friday night. I'm going to try @gofer 's ALS settings and also try the 2 step and nitrous off the line and see which one works best. I'm getting the 60' down for grudge racing. They actually turn the times off at the end of the track. First one to the end wins. There's a top 10 list here in town I'm trying to get on Friday night. NO 10 is an SRT4 that's running 7.64. My best so far is 7.99, with probably 200 more HP than the SRT4 LOL.

Did do a test pull :)

Weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow. Hopefully the car cooperates. If I can make some mid-low 7s before the trans breaks I'll be pretty happy. It wasn't liking the nitrous pulls last weekned HAHAHAAHA

Plenty of horses on Link... :) What did it not like with the nitrous, just too much for a old transmission??

He's running a 225/50/16 R6 which is a 24.9" diameter tire that puts him at 94mph in 3rd gear hitting 7000rpm on stock DSM gearing, maybe even slower running lower tire pressures.

I asked because he's not hitting over 100mph in the 1/8th and with that setup it seems that he should be, just wondering if he's shifting into 4th since I'd suggest just running out 3rd even if it takes him over 7.5k.

Ive only been in 4th for like 1 or two seconds at the end of the 1/4, 4th in the 8th????

Edit: ahh i see what you were gettin at. But 4th in the 8th would be like instabog LOL hed prob notice
If you're really only in 4th for 2 seconds (from the 1000' mark you hit 9.3) you might as well wrap 3rd gear out another 320' and take that motor to 9500rpm. ;)

What RPM are you shifting out of the 3rd, Kyle?

It was an estimate, but it's not very long, i rev to 8500ish sometimes less if I'm shifting off of the sound without looking at the tac, I still have stock springs:( or else I'd love to be doing 9k+ shifts LOL but currently i have the limit set at 8750 maybe after the BC dual springs are in I'll try those rpms

Nope just like you said I was at 7k in 3rd gear when crossing the line on the 7.99@94 pass.

Gonna give it a go this Friday night if the weather cooperates. And the car. Wouldn't run right when I gotto the track last Friday. After some troubleshooting the next day found the MAP sensor wiring was acting up. Had to repin it

I had to completely retune the car for some reason after the CAS and coil swap and fuel injector cleaning. Only got it up to 24psi but ran 8.0@92 at 24psi. Not too bad. We don't get slips for grudge racing so I don't know the 60' but previous best was 7.99@94 at 30psi. So .01 slower at 6psi less boost. I'm pretty happy with that. Gotta finish the tune to 30psi and retune the nitrous but that's gonna have to wait till after my vacation. Clutch started dragging last pass. Pulled me through the lights on the 2step. Readjusted the clutch pedal yesterday. Haven't tried it out yet but that should fix the clutch drag problem. One thing I noticed from my logs is that, while I thought I had my foot to the floor at the light on the two step the log says otherwise. Looks like when I hear the 2step engage my foot is lifting off the pedal so I'm not leaving the line at WOT. We noticed that right before the last pass so I made sure to try to mash the gas through the floor board the whole time. Holy sh** did that make a difference. 8.0 pass 0-33mph (1st gear shifted at 6500) took 1.446 sec while the last pass when I was definitely WOT on the 2step 0-47mph (shifted at 7k) was .986sec. What a huge difference it makes actually having the pedal to the floor at launch and not just thinking I had it to the floor. The car broke up in 2nd gear on that last pass. I have a feeling it was going to be very fast. ended up being 8.2 but when it broke up in 2nd gear at 47mph it actually slowed down and took 2 full seconds just to get back to 47mph. It's all about that 60' in an 1/8mi.
