That's the style used with water meth injection, besides that I have no experience on how they would react to vacuum.

That's what I was also wondering I know they use them on trucks for their air system but I wasn't sure how they would deal with vacuum. I picked up a bunch today and will try them out on my build and see what happens I guess. I like that they can not blow off under boost.

We use festo and smc push lock's (mostly plastic)on 100psi air lines everywhere in the plant. They seem to last a long time as long as their not stretched too tight and are not in harms way. Hooking and unhooking them will eventually wear the tubing itself out, all I do is cut a 1/4" off and hook it back up. I suggest you give yourself a little extra tubing so you can cut off what gets wore out.

Agreed they hold vacuum fine on robot systems everywhere. Make sure you get hose rated for higher temps in your engine bay.

I'm glad to hear they have been used with success . The ones I am using are DOT approved ones used on semis and concrete trucks. I like that under boost the can not pop off and are clean looking I plan on using them for everything I can.

FWIW I use these on my car and many others. Nothing to worry about, just pick fittings and lines with temp and pressure ratings suitable for the intended use. Never had one come off with boost up to 60 psi, and as mentioned, these are used in industrial applications up to rated pressures where any mishaps can cause losses in the millions. Never seen a failure in 20 years in the semiconductor industry. I've seen only one failure in the years I've been using them on my car, and that was heat related (back pressure measurement, fitting right on the EGR port of the intake manifold flange. Need a short length of steel line even when using that location). User error on my part, but you don't know if it will work until you try it. :D

I have not had good luck with Push-Lock for vacuum.

Custom Length stainless hydraulic line in -4 AN.. Zero leaks, Will outlast your setup. That is my suggestion

I know this is an old thread but if you are trying to get away from worm clamps you can use Gates power bands. They are a heat shrink style clamp, designed for hydraulics and they self tension with changing under hood temps.
