Are you on PCS orders?

Thanks for sharing !!
That looks pretty awesome !
I remember your post, you are running 8.75+20 right ?
I was thinking going +35 less concave but should fit better within the fenders ;)

No, I married a Japanese woman and we are living here now .

Sorry for my double post, another 2 points i would like to check.

1- I have kind of low budget so are fender moles (like those: http://store.shopping.yahoo.co.jp/zerowin/fm-w100.html?sc_e=slga_pla) going help me to clear the poke out of 18x8.75+35 ? these are 9mm width
(Keltalon since you have the size of wheel I want maybe you can guide me here)

2- The shop I usually go told me that it is not possible to roll rear fender lip on 2g coz it is welded to the inside frame and it is very thick... However I can see on all post that everyone is rolling rear fender.
Is the guy lying / or not skilled enough to do it ?

Thanks again !

Done !! Here is how it looks ;) I will have to low down coilover, but I have no idea how much I can go down without touching fenders...

May be helpful to ppl that wonder what certain tire combos look like on certain rim widths on nasoic there is a huge xxr thread i just personally got 17x9.75 offset 25 and 255/40/r17 bridge stone g forces and fitting them on my bug eye was tricky since the offset is about the same. I am running pretty serious camber nothing worst then on my 1G talon with the rear camber not being that adjustable without that frame mod. What i dont understand is the HUGE hate on these wheels i still havent been able to find who the 527xxr is knocking off...and who cares...the wheel looks nice so why such hate? I dont understand these ppl mentality. If there is a parking lot full of enkei rpf1's those ppl would rather fall in line with the same set ...then do what they think looks good. Arent there moderators to regulate the stupid comments?

Thread should be renamed " sh**ty Cheap Knockoff Wheels Thread".
You sir need a life...that does not involve shaming other's and insulting them for what they can afford and what they think looks good... you drive a mitsubishi eclipse...with a huge turbo wow because you cant afford a lambo must mean you drive a crappy car...no it means you like that kind of car and no body is gonna try and call your car or your parts or you style of modding shitty or what ever the case may be so do us a favour and just keep Those kind of comments to yourself!

I checked how it fits by trying googling it, and in this thread.
I stretched a little bit coz I don't want to rub, and want to be low.
So I am running now 18x8.75+35 with 215/40.
I know thoses tires are tinny but I like the look and I don't do drag so I am fine with that :)

And I agree with you about haters... Everyone can go with what they like and/or can affort.
XXR has the best concave looking imo and since I have 3 kids to look after it was a cheap solution which match perfectly my taste.

I want this in silver. Only found them on one site- And It's the only color I think will look good on my car. Beautiful wheels. The XXR 550's are nice too.. but the 527's are just... beautiful on DSM's.

Not to be as blunt as Boosted, but I agree with him.

Have you ever wondered why these wheels are so inexpensive? No stress testing, weaker material, not original (reps--we all know what that means; stolen idea from another reputable companies) and overall lacking in manufacturing practices--whatever it takes to keep the cost of making them down, even cut corners, they will do so.

Family is important, obviously since you care for them by watching your expenses when it comes to cars, but have you ever considered the safety side of things?

just one example of many:

This topic can be argued and go on forever--maybe they do have a place in the industry but I have learned that if you look hard enough and are patient enough, legit, reputable wheels are out there for just about the same price as these knockoffs. Saw some Enkei Evolution RS 3 piece wheels sell for 500 bucks shipped yesterday. I even got my Work Emotion XD9s for $900 shipped from Japan. IMO, there's no excuse for settling on a set of primary wheels...not in the long run.

Also, if you plan on running wheels that pass the fender or are in the way of the fender, roll and pull those damn things. Pros charge about 80 bucks to get it done nowadays.

I understand what you mean. Of course security is very important, but after googling it I couldn't find that much problem about xxr... Only reputation is bad but no number or data...
Anyway I am going to be carefull when driving.
I don't do race anyway :)

Thank you for the advice !

Regarding the fender I am going to work on it !!

I think I would be more concerned with the tire failing due to the stretched out sidewall rather than the wheel failing. I have a hard time comprehending why people stretch a 215 series tire over a wheel that's nearly 9 inches wide. If you're trying to save money, why not just buy a 7 or 8 inch wide wheel to begin with?

I'm not "hating", just trying to point out the obvious here. I'm all for making your car look how you like, so if it's the look you're going for, that's cool. However, if you want functionality over form in regard to performance, I'd do things a bit different if I were in your shoes. Idle_Serge had some good points about how to acquire a quality set of wheels on a budget, and I agree with what he's saying. If you're patient and look around, it's not hard to find a deal.

Agreed with the "haters" here. IF you want to run Taiwanese/Chinese copies with no R&D that stole the design from a legit manufacturer, go for it. Plenty do. Just don't expect the rest of us to give you a reach-around.

Sincerely,
A "troll" that's been here nearly 15 years and found used Volks rather than copies for his old Talon.

Here they are in 18x9.75 +20
No spacers. Slight roll & pull required. No I don't rub at all.
Yes I can go over regular speed bumps without trouble.
I have them on Nitto 555 18/225/40 .

I know this is an old post but how is this a slight roll and pull? You destroyed your fenders front and rear.

BTW has anyone successfully rolled front fenders on the 2g without effing them up? I just had mine rolled "professionally" and the rear turned out ok, you cant tell they were rolled but fronts look choppy and lost the smoothness to the fender.

Also I'm running the XXR 530, this thread makes me want the 527's Lol

Hello, I'm looking at getting the xxr 527 in gold for my 2g Gsx.
I don't want to roll my fenders.
Here are the options
18x8.75 +35
18x8.75 +20

Or
17x8.25 +35
17x8.25 +25
Which would look best and fit best also what tire size should I go with

Thanks

I am running 18x8.75+35, tires are 215/40 no rubbing at all, but you will have the hellaflush look. Some here hates that so it is up to you (See my pics).
I think you can go up to 235 for tires without rubbing depending of course how low you are.

Keep in mind that rear rims still inside the fenders, but for the front it is very limit.

I have no idea about other size you asked about but 17x8.25+35 should be obviously fine.
