Is anyone running slicks on fd wheels? I'm having a hard time getting the info I need, so I need some help. I'm looking for low 11's this year (high 11's last year). I have a 2.3l engine and reving to 7500, with a shep stg 4 trans. I'm looking for the best setup I can do (with the height and gearing). Please let me know what I should do.

you can run a 225/50/16 with no spacers. Now if you get some spacers and longer studs you can probably run a 245/45/16 which is about 24.3" tall or maybe a 245/50/16 which is 25.7" tall(depending on the thickness of the spacers of course). Give us a little info on your suspension set up.

Old thread I know, but can anyone provide pictures of there FD / Hoosier QTP setups? I wanna SEE the clearance and shock / strut / spacer issues I keep reading about. I have a set of reinforced FD wheels and the standard 26x9.5-16 Hoosier QTP's.. (Going on a 1g AWD).

I've already confirmed fitment on the rear of my 1g FWD with the FD wheels (225/50r16 tires) clearing everything without spacers. I tried them on the front of my 1g FWD but they hit some random bolt protruding from the stock strut. The fronts will fit though (idk about with the slicks, but with the 225/50's), as soon as I grind down the bolt. I don't see any use for the bolt that sticks out. It's 180 degree's from where the brake line brackets bolt onto the rear of the strut.

I'm using the single piston brake calipers up front and stock calipers on the rear in my 1g FWD

My 1g AWD also has single piston front calipers and stock rear calipers. Braking is acceptable with EBC Yellow Stuff pads from ~ 120mph...
