Thanks for all the great compliments! Another update. Datalogging and tuning cables tucked neatly :)

Okay so I thought my car was "done"... but remember when I said "for now"... Yeah about that... So I drove it one time and it pulled nice and hard up to about 4000rpm then fell on its face. Got it back home and at an idle it was blowing smoke out the exhaust. Yay. So I parked it for a few days and then last night I finally went to look at it and found this:

So it looks like I'm going to be pulling the turbo back off today. Great...

For those who are interested. Here is a video of the shaft play on my 16g. Going to be sending it to Jeremiah Morrow as soon as funds are available

Got my gauge pod installed. Great fitment! Now for some gauges... Plus a turbo rebuild.

Alright. My build has been put on hold for a while due to having to move. However, I was able to have my turbo rebuild with a billet compressor wheel and a 9 blade turbine. I also decided that I'm going to pull the head off my parts car and put some new seals in it and throw it on my car with ARP head studs. I'm also going to redo the timing belt and balance shaft belt. More progress to come hopefully in the next month! I haven't installed the turbo yet because I want to get the head swap done first! But without further ado, turbo pics!!!

And the head that I'm going to freshen up and put on my car

Made a little progress today. Pulled the head from my parts car to get it cleaned up and installed on my car. It won't be installed until I get my tax return so I can redo all the timing components and such while the head is off. Planning on 3g lifters and ARP studs. Other than that, it's going on stock form. Here are some pics

If it fits, I sits! I don't own a truck so the Camaro is my parts running vehicle LOL

Further inspection when I got it I'm the garage.

Couple more cheap updates.

The first was free. New rear view mirror! I snagged this out of my Camaro parts car. It has map lights built in and is overall a better quality mirror. I wired it up to work with the factory dome light functions as well.

Second update. New exhaust! Got rid of the multiple s-bends around the differential and replaced it with straight piping. New cheapo muffler as well. I know the angle is a bit aggressive. I may go in and straighten out the muffler a bit before finishing welding up the hangers.

And before you ask, yes the back of the exhaust is held up with zip ties at the moment because I haven't welded the hangers yet LOL. What do you guys think of the angle on the muffler? Too aggressive or take the time to straighten it out? Votes!

I think the angle looks fine, nice job on bringing it back from the dead! Keep up the good work!

E3 exhaust manifold acquired!

Also I decided to take some pics of my exhaust valves on the head that is being replaced on my car. The head is still on my engine so this is the best I could get

Update. I purchased a set of 3g lifters and ARP Head studs from Kenny Kline. I highly recommend doing business with him from any of your DSM needs! Great guy and he has very good prices on parts. For those interested in contacting him, he can be reached on facebook!

Another update: I also purchased two sets of GM 4 note horns. I didn't like the puny two note import horn on my DSM so I went to the pick n pull and found two sets of the 4 note GM horns. I have them mounted up and ready to be wired up with some relays. Here's what it will sound like, except I have two sets ;) lord forbid someone almost backs into me or cuts me off and doesn't hear my horn now!

Eh, I'm glad I had it rebuilt! I consider it preventative maintenance. The billet wheel will also cause it to spool slightly quicker. The combination of the billet wheel and 9 blade turbine should make it spool nasty fast LOL.
I'll be sure to update as I make more progress! Thanks for the support, guys!

Bring this back from the dead just for some updates. I did end up having the turbo rebuilt. I had a billet 11blade 20g comp wheel installed in it along with the 9blade turbine. Made for a super quick spooling turbo! I also got all new tires mounted on it. Lengthened the rear lower control arms to correct the camber due to the lowering kit. Got the car aligned. Got new axles in the front. Got a base tune on it. Got it inspected and tagged and insurance put on it. Drove it 3 times and my daily driver blew up. I ended up having to sell the DSM in order to fund a new daily. However, I'll be looking for another DSM in the spring. Keep an eye out ;)

Again, thanks for the overwhelming amount of support that I've received during my drawn out build process! This is by far the most awesome group of people that I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of! I'll be back soon! :)
