So wasn't sure where to put this.

My neighbor is looking at buying a 07 eclipse for 6900 112k miles.

I don't know anything about these cars, he is taking me as he likes my GST. But what should I look for, I'm good with basics like fluids, pads, new plug wires, belts, tires, dings, or blending of paint, ect. Anything else.

Do they have known problems?

Is this is car he should be looking at? it has a big ASS LOL but looks nice inside.

Thanks guys, I always turn to here when I have an issue. Love the tuners site.

If you do read car reviews on them they are very good with little problems. Ive seen a little bit about valve seals and using a bit of oil, but thats it really. Also the blower resistor is a big complaint, its behind the glove box and not hard to change.

Oh and the front cats seem to fall apart very common, hence the new exhaust we got.

At 112k miles if timing belt has not been done, do it now!

Not a ton of after market.

Its cop so no spark wires, you do have to take the intake manifold off to do the 3 rear plugs.

I have experience with them, a client bought a 2007 v6 6 speed manual. They are not bad to work on, ofc a 4cyl is way easier but compared to some v6 not bad.

He paid $6000 and it has 85k miles, pretty basic inside tho cloth, no sunroof, ect.

That being said the car came with a fujita F5 intake, I put on cat back injen ses exhaust, custom Y pipe made and RRE headers. Then got a tune by hackish and the car recently dynoed 285 hp, it was 262 without the tune. Also installed poly motor mounts.

Let me just say this car is a BEAST, tons of torque and power ALL the time, no waiting for turbo to spool. I like them though they torque steer like a mofo

So the car was nice. I liked the inside of them. Had some power I guess, little fun to drive.

We where going to go buy it today and they sold it yesterday if anyone cares to know. But all in all I like the way i fit in the interior. Not a he huge fan of how big of an ass they have.
