LOL, thanks but I don't think I want to touch another harness haha. I've still got an interior one to go through.

I work a turn around so they fly me out there; I'm still living in NL .

Still lots more to do.

I actually used the A/C hole for a pass thru as well for my starter/alternator! I had a question for you though as I noticed you are using your fuse box to power for aftermarket gauges. Since I removed A/C and ABS I have those 10A fuses open. I was planning on using one for my aftermarket gauges and the other for my fuel pump re-wire. My concern was how do the gauges know to shut down completely when the car goes off?

Sorry, I don't get on here much.

I rewired those fuse spots to come on when the ignition is on. They feed one of the factory relays so I turn the key and there is power applied.

Been picking at stuff over the past little bit when I'm home on turn around. I'm trying to finish up some projects at home but I'm also putting some time in on this thing over the next month.

Some small new purchases.
Got a great deal on some Hella Super Tones (so great that I bought a set for the Fiesta too).
100_0960_zpszv3okta9.jpg

Also bought all SS hardware from a seller on eBay, no more rusted bolts in the engine bay, yay!
100_0959_zpscsoxtqq9.jpg

Installed my booster delete plate.
100_0947_zps3o3niou5.jpg

Finally, started cleaning up my HKS Hi Power Cat back so I can install it. This thing looked horrible but it's coming along nicely now, need to finish polishing it.
Starting to wet sand it.
100_1006_zpsumuazfrj.jpg

All the dirt and oxidation off.
100_1007_zpsei53nxrq.jpg

More dirt and nastiness.
100_1008_zpsvhvd9e04.jpg

Cleaned up.
100_1009_zpsgrx2zfd6.jpg

Its come a long way but I've got more wet sanding to do and then I need to polish it.

That's my small update for now, lots more work ahead of me.

What seller did you get the bolts from? Build looks great! Keep it up

It's been a long time since I've posted any updates so I'll share some things I've done recently.
There's not a whole hell of a lot changed due to just a lack of time, whenever I am home I try to spend time with my family more then the car. I'm actually home now to do my last block of school and become a Journeyman Electrician so that's taking up a lot of my spare time; I am trying to get a couple things done though.

Back to the wiring.
First I mounted up my SRR that feeds the Fuel pump rewire. This is mounted behind the rear interior panels. I might actually move some of my EHPS stuff here too.
I need to shave down the wiring stud to fit into the SRR.
100_1059_zpsuyzoyfjm.jpg

Back into the passenger side fender harness, to finalize the lengths for the reverse light switch, Boost control solenoid and a couple other things.
100_1068_zpssz6nrnss.jpg

Bagged up and ready to be soldered or have connectors crimped on.
100_1069_zps05cb1drv.jpg

Some where around here I managed to break a set of dykes that my old man has had forever, oops.
100_1058_zpsdzettaod.jpg

Finished up my ground cables.
100_1085_zpsmfeyifuu.jpg

And my starter cable (firewall to starter itself).
100_1086_zpsyguxp0mw.jpg

Finishing up the driver side wiring.
100_1102_zpsyh7u9qoe.jpg

Soldered (or crimped) connectors on to both passenger and driver side harness; fog light, EHPS pump, fan, etc.

100_1090_zpsndr5gtyb.jpg

Reverse and fog light on the passenger side.
100_1091_zpsga3y2mam.jpg

AEM COP mount that I had welded up.
100_1094_zpsg197denc.jpg

Used some faucet washers to give a bit of a spacer for some isolation.
100_1096_zpshbskoqrt.jpg

100_1095_zpsbqwracye.jpg

Also one step back, pulled the chassis harness again. Making some changes (DRLs and some other things).
100_1107_zpsbjhjp3by.jpg

Mounted up my oil cooler.
100_1022_zpss5ait6jb.jpg

Had to cut a bit to get it to sit where I want.
100_1023_zpsyogwxn1q.jpg

100_1024_zpswhnxubdw.jpg

Perfect!

I hate all these unneeded holes in my engine bay.
100_1080_zpsk9iydfv8.jpg

100_1081_zps0aqbsntj.jpg

100_1082_zpskufswdbs.jpg

Templates made and some steel cut.
100_1060_zps9i9dlrqd.jpg

100_1061_zpsettl61ru.jpg

Block offs welded in, I need to seem seal them and make them pretty.
100_1097_zps7kddnywt.jpg

100_1100_zpsn1o03on1.jpg

100_1101_zps5k2c6ogj.jpg

Also fixed the bolt holes on my fenders so I've got 4 bolts on either side (retapped).
100_1103_zpsjrpdzhvp.jpg

100_1104_zps8f3fcfj3.jpg

Got some rubber mounts for the EHPS pump. Hopefully this will keep noise/vibration down. I'm thinking I will weld the mount to the frame (already did that with the battery mount).

I had picked up some Morimoto LED fog lights for the Fiesta but I decided to use them on the Talon instead of the BMW X5 LED Fogs I picked up. Made some mounts that bolt to the crash bar and place the fogs in the outside 'mouths' on the bumper.
100_1018_zps35ms11hw.jpg

100_1019_zpsit9jsi00.jpg

Oh no, the fogs aren't straight! This is why I love aluminum for making mounts. 2 seconds with a pair of vice grips and they're straight.
100_1020_zpswjfrgzgy.jpg

Tossed the bumper on and I love it.
100_1017_zpsfwmudmxe.jpg

I had to trim the mounts on 1 side off, couple minutes with the dremel and it's like they were never there.
100_1087_zpsjdvgszyo.jpg

100_1088_zps0fiyy06x.jpg

What happened to the X5 LEDs, well, I put them in my headlights to act as DRLs and auxiliary fogs (though they might not work very well in the position).
100_1125_zpsbxpmpfwa.jpg

That's it for now.
I've got a bunch of work still and parts to buy. There's some things I will be changing with the wiring and adding in (plugs for meth injection so it will be plug and play, adding the X5 fog wiring, etc).
Most the work I'm doing now is in my garage and not on the car (stupid snow/cold)

Wow! I've read literally everything you've posted here and the steps you took to get this far. I would like to do something very similar to my build (minus the part where it takes more than a year to complete, I don't have that kind of time!). I'm taking some serious notes from you. I already have my engine out because i'm working on my 6xx-awhp build... So i figured "Why not do something while the engine's out to clean it up a bit and make it look good?" Then i came across all this and i realized that the Earth is indeed a round, ball-like shape haha!! There's just so much here and i don't think i'll be able to cover most of it, but you sir, are a hero!

Glad you enjoyed what I've done so far.

The time thing has always been a sort of issue for me.
When I first started this build I had a load of time but very little money. Then things flipped I had a load of money but very little time. When you're only home 1 week out of a month and have a young child; well you're spending that week with them vs wrenching. Plus it's an 1.5 hour drive to actually wrench on the car.

I'm working at home now and while I'm still doing a 14/7 rotation, I'm at home in my own bed every night. I'm starting to work on this thing more and more now - especially now that it's warming up again.
On top of that, the ol lady is bugging me about finishing this thing now so I guess I better get cracking.

All I have to say is.. WOW! You have given me some serious motivation! I broke my leg about 8 months ago and it has been a very long process, i still can't walk yet due to all the surgeries they are doing and what have you. Due to the injury my car has been on jack stands for nearly a year and not until recently have i been able to get some help to finish up. But what you have done and are doing is something i couldn't even imagine of accomplishing. But here we are at 2:20 am and for the first time in WEEKS i have motivation to start doing something on the car! So off to the garage i go!

Great work and very detailed, this is the kind of stuff i LOVE to see!

Some more updates on this bucket, inching closer and closer to finishing it.

Got my hands on a 96A Saturn Alternator, this will be converted to a 1 wire set up.
100_1177_zps8z9opail.jpg

Maintenance stuff - MT90, MTL, Shockproof and plugs.
100_1178_zpszcd4atzc.jpg

Custom PS high side line with a fitting that will allow me to do a field splice - it's much like at
AN fitting just rated for a much higher PSI.
100_1180_zpsztne2fw9.jpg

4 port Lancer master cylinder for my booster delete.
100_1179_zpsmb84blj1.jpg

More wiring stuff, point to point and loomed the COP harness.
100_1182_zpseo51c8yr.jpg

Back into the fender harnesses, had to had some 4 pin connectors for my bumper and headlight markers/turn signals.
100_1166_zpskojotpbj.jpg

Made sure all the wires/plugs were in the correct spot on the cannon plug.
100_1168_zpsitthtxdt.jpg

Did point to point testing on both Driver and passenger fender harnesses. Plus made sure my pin outs were correct, I'll make a digital version of those too.
100_1167_zpsuabaxhct.jpg

100_1172_zpsrnvretih.jpg

Then I went on to looming both harnesses.
100_1184_zpsozazygr1.jpg

100_1183_zpsujdnpv99.jpg

Shot of the harnesses all loomed.
100_1185_zpsac1dfo0f.jpg

100_1186_zps8iaexwja.jpg

100_1187_zpsaf9t9yer.jpg

Packed up to go out to the car.
100_1188_zpszxlelujf.jpg

Chassis harness back on the bench - need to confirm some wires are there plus run wires for my Corolla LEDs.
100_1190_zpsa0ddrmdx.jpg

I REALLY hate this harness now.

Picked up an aluminum radiator for a MK3 GTI. I had to do some minor mods to the core support so it would slip under. Right now the stock hood latch is still there but to get both 12" fans installed it's got to go. I'll run some Aerocatch hood pins to latch the hood down.
This freed up a ton of room in the engine bay.
100_1192_zps1bvvrndd.jpg

Fender harnesses installed, still need to route/secure some things under the frame rails but I didn't bring my jack out.
100_1194_zpsqivtupzh.jpg

100_1197_zpsolew08en.jpg

Seam sealer on all the block off plates.
100_1198_zpsbpqxukco.jpg

Vacuum lines run to the BOV and IAC (can't see it because it's behind the motor.
100_1196_zpsn7z2ug7t.jpg

Master cylinder installed. Running a Wilwood adjustable push rod that I still need to fine tune the adjustment of.
100_1193_zpsqk6ut8ve.jpg

Started running the brake lines, 4 ports will make it a lot easier.
100_1200_zps3g7k0zhr.jpg

Moved the fuel filter down lower on the firewall, need to get an SS bolt. I would have done the rail to filter line but I couldn't find the fittings and didn't feel like gutting the car.
100_1199_zpsmzuixqn5.jpg

PS high and low lines run under the frame rail, just need to cut them and connect it all up. Running without a PS cooler for now.
100_1195_zpshzsap8cs.jpg

Overall motor shot, getting closer, just need a couple more things.
100_1202_zpst5s4l2oi.jpg

I have also taken the time to fully read this great post! Amazing work!! Congratulations!
