i am looking to do a intercooler install here soon. Can u guys post pics of your inter coolers. I don't know what style I want. Also interested in trying to keep my bumper reinforcement.

You can keep the bumper support but a little bit of cutting is required. I also keeped it and mounted my intercooler right on the bumper support

Short route, Not exactly sure what kind it is but its Atleast 3-4in thick.

Was able to keep fog lights. My core was already removed. But have seen them fit with a trimming done.

It's a punishment racing short rout. Able to keep the 2gb fog lights, not 100% of a 2ga.

Who needs bumpers?!

Vrsf kit installed. A little bit of cutting required and relocated stock over flow tank to where stock intercooler was mounted. If you can swing for ets street kit I would. Overall I happy with the Vrsf kit great quality.

When you did your PR FMIC did you have to pull the head lights? Also what did you do with the power steering "cooler line"?

Planning on doing a huge parts install in the next few weeks and trying to get my checklist together as not to run into any unknowns. I will only have the weekend and my DSM is my only daily driver.

Nope! Didn't touch the ps lines either. Install is pretty straight forward, there's a youtube video online if you want to keep the crush beam like me too.

Only issue was the coupler at the top that connects the elbow to the pipe with the BOV flange was kinda short. Ended up purchasing a longer one on eBay.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I have watched that YT vid too, many times :). I'm the kind of guy that reads and watches install vids 100x. I've even read the Factory Service manual...for funzies

Lol. Yeah, I'm the same way same situation. My DSM is my only car so I read up on stuff a thousand times so it's not down waiting for parts or something when it comes to install time.

Here's mine. Ss you can see, I kept the foglights. The piping that would come with this style for the upper portion is different though. I modified it to fit like the short route. I also am changing the way the upper pipe routes soon.

Here is my intercooler, Forced Performance. The fog lights had to go, but I didn't mind.

others have said it, vsr is a common choice, and yes you can have it re-enforced(trimming it). but, it will require cutting and fitting and re-cutting and re-fitting the bumper, its a pain, but its affordable. but cant use oem fog lights, but after-market will fit.
