According to the AEM Electronics website, there are two different ECU's for the 2g cars... the 30-6300, listed as the Series 2 EMS for the 95-99 Talon, and the 30-6310, listed as the Series 2 for the 95-99 Eclipse.

Now, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't the computers be the same? Is there a subtle difference I'm not aware of? Or is AEM trying to capitalize on the popularity of the Eclipse over the Talon and charge more for the same product? WTF

I did some more digging and found out that the part number for the 2g Talon is the same as the EMS for all of the 1g cars. So perhaps this is just a typo on their website. The only reason I care is because there is almost a $400 price difference between the Eclipse and Talon EMS, and I knew of no difference between the two.

well, the igniter wires for coils 1&4 and 2&3 were swapped around between 2ga and 2gb cars and and then the early 95 had that pickup under the cam gear instead of on the back of the head like we are all use to but that's about all that comes to mind off the top of my head

unless you're just looking for the plug n play option i would highly advise another brand of EMS if you want to mess with it yourslef and learn to tune ( the AEM unit is purposely made to seem more complicated to keep the money coiming back to the shop that did the install when it's sitme for changes) the guy who sold them the GEMS rights for north america has had this as part of his goals with his EMS systems, hius new one prefessional EFI is actually made to where you need a special box that only a dealer will have to make major changes..again to keep money coming back to the shops, something like autronic, haltech MSnS etc.. are all good choices as well.. not that there's anythign the AEM is bad or anything but just confusing to the average guy when the same functions are plainly and uinderstandably labeled in other systems where AEM call everythign some over complicated name and uses weird increments and styles of adjustments

30-6300 is 1g and 30-6310 is 2g. It is a typo on the AEM site.

I have both in stock and ready to ship.
