So I had my ca ideling in the garage tuning it and seen a little smoke coming out the back. I stepped on the gas a lil and poof big cloud of grayish blue smoke comes out the back. I've run a compression test and I figure it's the turbo that has blown. Has a few millimeters shaft play. It's a 92 tsi with a 16g turbo if there is anything helpful you guys can think of just let me know

Thanks guys I took it to cherry turbo in st Thomas and he told me the turbo is in perfect working order .... I might hAve jumped the gun on that one. So by process of elimination I'm banking on the smoke coming from valve seals yayyy haha

I'm going to change the pcv valve out first and my other vent on the top isn't hooked up to anything think that could be pressurizing the crank case?

If the smoke seems to "load up" at idle, then clear out when you step on the gas (after the initial cloud), that's usually a sign of valve stem seals gone bad. If you need to change your t-belt and water pump, do them all at the same time and save yourself from having to do it twice.
