I am mounting that unit in my '90 and was mocking it up this weekend. It will fit and basically in the same location but I think mine will mount a bit higher and have the inlet/outlet on the drivers side instead of on the bottom. It is almost the same size as the '90 stock cooler but a better unit from what I can see. It IS a sandwich between my FMIC and the PUSHER Spal fans that I use but it will fit. If you don't have pusher fans then there is generous room for it and it won't block anymore than the stock unit does. Just from this weekends experience.
 
My lines on my 90 were leaking pretty bad too, started a couple months ago. I just changed them out this weekend to some braided lines instead.

Yep Erik that's how I started out, but since I have pushers, I have less room so I have decided to mount mine sideways, if you will say, so the inlet and outlet are right on the drivers side of the radiator. Your picture is a good one for the OP. I went with the nylon braided lines is the only difference. :thumb:
 
thank ya, I'm going to do the stainless lines and swivel fittings for it. hopefully ill get it this week then so i can install it this weekend :D
 
I don't remember how to come the factory oil cooler on 90 Turbo DSM.
I have see only heavy modified turbo DSM in Quebec and during the 2013 SO from my last flying trip.
European 4G63 have oil cooler with both fittings on the top, so no problem about that here.
Air pocket in the cooler make sense with both fittings looking down in my mind...
 
I saw that when i was doing some research on installing it. Itll be here Wednesday! Talk about fast shipping :D and it'll be installed this weekend!
 
So my kit only came with 2 crush washers.. Dont I need 8 of them or was that only if i was replacing the stock lines?
