Ok so this is my first Mitsubishi. That being said it is also my first eclipse gst. I have worked on many muscle cars and 8 cylinders. I have read of people stroking these little engines and running some ridiculous boost with water meth kits or nitrous. I have seen this in again v8 engines but can this engine really handle that much? And if so who would i order the parts from. But before I put the cart in front of the horse I have a few questions, when I first crank the car and the trans fluid is still cold the trans goes from park to reverse to drive with a hard jolt but still drives fine once in gear and shifts fine once in drive. Then once the fluid is warm with the rest of the engine it shifts fine from park to reverse or neutral. Now I may be wrong but that seems like a trans filter right? I do know how to use the search bar and will soon be starting to read more into I'm just looking for guidance here and maybe someone will already know the answers I need. That being said, when I turn the throttle while under the hood the turbo smokes I've seen this before I just need to know if there is a rebuild kit for it or is it best to just buy a new one, preferably with the ability to run higher boost and a boost gauge with adjustable blow off valve. And the final question I have is is there a build journal or parts list to tell me what I need and the stock and new measurements to bore over stroke over and build this engine to be able to handle the high boost that alot of people are talking about running.
