Reason why it was away was the shop I brought it to to work on it, ended up trying to charge me double what was discussed. At THAT time, I didn't have that much scratch. They told me that they'll have to keep it until the debt is settled. They tried to come down $200, still wasn't doing much for me seeing that the trans would no longer shift into any gear and I now had bent valve(s) in the head due to the guy retiming the motor without asking me about it first(the car previously had adjustable cam-gears).

Car just went up for sale at a local auction, I decided to get it back.

Nice, at least it went for a price you were comfortable paying to get it back. That seems like a frustrating ordeal. At least it's home again.

Yup, it's at home at least. Hopefully soon I'll be able to take it out to stretch its "legs"...when I get the issues fixed.

So your telling me they f'd up your tran and engine, then wanted to be paid for it??? I'd have went back with a lawyer. What were they supposed to fix originally?
