Okay so for this build I'm about to start Iam going to Inform you guys on all of my progress and parts, etc. for my shortblock. I want to go with a remachined 7 bolt with a oem prorate crank 88mm stroke, Eagle h beams/arp 2000's, acl aluminum tri metal bearings, wiseco's 9 to 1 cr, arp main and head studs.
For the cylinder head I want sbi steel guides (5 angle seat), head port, bc valves,springs, and retainers, and all arp studs.
For my bolt ons I want a dnp ported tubular mani,68hta with a tdo5 housing, jmf race IM, s90 ported TB, ets 10.5" SR fmic/2.5" piping, mishi radiator with slim line fans, oil cooler kit, Injen intake/greddy bov, coil on plug kit, (not sure on my O2 housing all opinions welcome), oil catch, 3" Megan racing turbo back,coolant OF,(not sure on injectors either would love input).
For my electronics/gauges etc.
Glow shift 3 gauge a pillar pod, aem digital boost, fuel pressure, wideband O2 gauges, dsmlink v3, gm maf-t, turbo timer, and a radar detector(must) LOL
Transmission
RR ultimate ratio and lsd tranny, act heavy duty clutch,Megan racing short throw with stiffer bushings, ss line from slave to master.
Suspension
Drilled and slotted rotors, tien street coils, all new knuckle kit, poly bushings(along with motor mounts).

Let me know what you all think of his build. Shooting for 400+ I would like all opinions

Motors out and ready to ship off to the shop with the tranny as well. Gonna get inside the engine bay and clean up a little bit and retape the wiring harness as well!
 
Also since then I've revised my build list drastically

Block rebuild is all the same
For the cylinder head I'm going with stock rebuild other than hks 272's with Manley valves,springs, and retainers and revised lifters.
For my bolt ons I'm going with a jmf exhaust manifold. Holset hx35. 1g ported tb. then the rest is the same.
Transmission is going to be rebuilt with taller and stronger gears with a limited slip differential.
 
Okay so my block is off in the shop being machined and rebuilt. This is going to ultimately be my final build list (unless anyone has a better option/path they would recommend I consider).
Bolt-ons: 3" MR DP back (straight pipe), PR O2 w/external dump, 38mm flanged WG, FP cast iron mani, jmfab smim, ported 2g TB, ETS 7" SR IC, (tdo5h 20g OR fp 68hta), injen intake, greddy type s BOV, wire on plug kit, -6an SS fuel feed Line rail to tank, fuelab fuel filter, hallman MBC, AEM fuel rail, -6an SS Fuel return line rail-afpr-tank, fuelab 515 AFPR w/gauge, Wally 255 on pump gas, polyurethane motor mounts.
Electronics/gauges: tactix 2.0 on speed density, glow shift 3 pod a-pillar, AEM digital boost/oil pres/wideband O2 (possibly a narrowband as well)
Suspension/brakes: tien street coilovers, oem knuckle kit, sway bar links, tie rods, ball joints, etc. RM sway bars, drilled/slotted rotors, powder coated calipers, good ridge SS brake lines, hawk brake pads, (<--front to back)
Transmission: RR ult synchro from jacks, act streetlite flywheel, act 2600 6 puck unsprung, MR short throw, stiff shifter bushings. SS master to slave.

If anyone would like to chime in on this list please do! I have given a lot of thought into it and read a lot of threads in order to put it together. Also please recommend injectors and cams that would run efficiently with this setup!

You say you want 400 hp now but once you get there you'll want more. I would go the hx35 or 40 route. Injectors, if you think you might want more power down the road then go big. As for cams I went with gsc s2. They seem to kick ass in all the comparisons I've seen. You getting a quaife lsd? Pr 02 is awesome. Make sure you go v band and not 2 bolt. My 2 bolt has gave me hell.
6an lines isn't needed for 400hp. What are you planning on running pump, race, e85? I would also do a fp rewire. How are you planning on connecting ss line to tank?
I used avid 75 motor mounts and they fit great. Car is definitely a lot more vibrant LOL. If you get the fp manifold make sure you get it ceramic coated. It'll rust and look like shit if not. As for a catch can @Calan makes awesome cans. That's who I went through.
 
400 will be a fine setup for this car bc after I get done with it I'm going to start on my 1g tsi awd. I have also given some thought to the hx35 and decided against it for various reasons. But those gsc cams what kinda info can you give me on them? I've already got a 2 bolt WG :idontknow: and Im gonna be running pump gas for the time being.

Just search them. There is tons of info on them. I made 383 on a shitty tune with 91 pump, walbro 255 rewired and stock fuel lines besides filter to rail and rail to afpr. I ran 2150s and an fp black though.

Well after about 4 1/2 hours of cussing and struggling I finally managed to cut and drill this sway bar link outta my shock fork. Now I'm ready to order some suspension!

Picked up some spray from autozone and finished up my interior. It might be a little bit too much but I think it turned out decent and its a good change for me
 
Noooooooooo... Red painted interior. Looks like someone went through the hassle of swapping in the black/grey interior, why wreck such a great combo?

Yah I just wanted to look at somthing diff tho man. It's just like *****. You get hit a different one every once in awhile

Just hooked up my SS fuel system this past weekend :hellyeah: now all I gotta do is rewire my fuel pump
