Are there any decent tan OEM seats? I know reupholstering an Evo seat in tan leather would be ridiculously expensive.

I've got s2000 seats in mine. Pictures are floating around the forum somewhere.
I think I'm going to source out some black s2k seats. One of the cleanest oem seats around.
What rails were used and what was your level of difficulty with the rail modifications?
Ahhh perfect!!! Thanks pimp.
Without the offset, are your seats aligned with the steering wheel and for the passenger the airbag/glovebox. Or are they off center and closer to the door. Or is the gap because the seats aren't as wide and factory 2G seats. Hope thats clear enough to understand .
It's a combination actually. They feel slightly offset when you put your feet on the pedals but it's partially because you're more fixed in the actual center of the seating area due to the seat width/hug. It really doesn't bother me at all but I'm a fairly tolerant person.
i also almost forgot to mention that I am about 5'10" and I have to have my seat all the way back to be comfortable. I like my leg to be FULLY extended when the clutch hits the floor though and I slouch when I sit. The seats also sit much lower so headroom would be a plus.
I don't like this style of seat bracket. The seatbelt bracket stays in one position since its bolted to the chassis even when the seat is slid forward or back. Thats why I made my own so the seat belt buckle slides with the seat. Just think about when your in an accident the seat will slide forward but the buckle will stay to the rear. How thin is your waist? OEM seat belt buckles are made to move with the seat so in an accident you don't get cut in half.Just a bit of information that might be helpful. Seat mounting brackets are available from www.plantedtechnology.com. They make a really nice looking mount for $149.00 and it looks to accept any seat. They are available for 1G cars. If anybody with a 2G is interested and is in the Seattle area....they are looking for someone to bring their car for 2-3 hours so that they can do the measurements and design them.

I've got a pair of Evo 8 recaros in my 2g. I used the rails from the Evo but I had to get a new bracket for them to fit.
http://wedgebrackets.com/seat-brackets-home/ <-- this is the place to go. Fast shipping and wonderful customer service. The seats mounted in now problem. You must be logged in to view this image or video.
Yeah the wedge was absolutely perfect. No uneven feeling at all.The seats fell center and flush? I made my own brackets but feel the driver seat is alil off centers with the steering wheel
Hey did you ever find or installed the rx8 seats you were looking for? I got a hold of some and I’d like to see if anyone has installed this in a 2g. The rails look like they will need major modifications and custom workAnyone know or seen RX8 bucket seats in a 2G can't seem to find a pic. I know I've seen it here somewhere.
