I'm thinking of purchasing and fp green or fp black from forced performance.
I currently have a big 16, and my performance parts are as follows.
Arp headstuds
Walbro 255
Fic 850cc injectors
Punishment racing fmic
Afpr
Southbend clutch
Dsm link
3 in gm maf in blow through
Wideband, pyrometer, and electronic boost controller
Fp race exhaust manifold
Fp evo 3 o2 housing
Fp downpipe
Turbo back exhaust.

I want to know from people who have experience with these turbos, I've read some about the fp green, not much about the black but I'm looking for a bolt on upgrade. Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.

Thanks for that link. I guess maybe it would still be okay, I'm looking for something bolt on. I have a spare hx35 off my old cummins laying around, but I'm not feeling like dealing with all that right now, maybe someday, but if I can bolt up the fp black to what I have now I think my stock internals can handle it, at least I hope haha

Have you considered the DSM HTA series turbos? They have different sizes that you will be able to get one to fit your goal. I just bought the HTA76 and its a work of art. I haven't got it installed yet but its just another option from FP that you can consider.

No I hadn't really looked around I was originally planning on ordering an fp green, but when I went to do it, noticed the black. I'm not sold on anything yet, so I'll check that out for sure thanks!

You completely overlooked the Red, which may actually be your best option.

The Green isn't entirely a whole lot different than a Billet 20G, so to upgrade from a Big 16G to a 20G may not be worth the price you'd pay....while the HTA Red is quite a performer which spools quicker and works better than the Black at lower boost levels.

Yeah I couldn't find much information on it either besides fp's website. I read a lot of reviews on the green, that's why it was my original plan, I'm between the red and black, I guess I'll just have to pick one and go for it. Probably the red like you said, I was shooting for somewhere around 20psi. And you rebuilt my 16g so I know you know what your talking about

Boomdeeze do you have any info on the HTA76? I'm in the same situation as the OP and I've been leaning towards a FP Red but wanted to know what the advantage of getting the HTA76 would be, since it cost twice as much as the red. Any info would be appreciated.
