I know this topic is totally beat to death. But I am having a heck of a time finding rims. I have a tight budget of 600 bucks. I know that limits my choices. Im having a hard time finding evo rims for a decent price. I got two used sets local and both don't fit. I don't want to run spacers. The rims have to be 17s. If the evo offset is 38, a 35 should work but I know it depends on spoke design. If anyone recommends anything I am open to options. Please help guys.

My car is lowered 2.5. If The evo rim is 17 x 8, am I going to have a hard time running a 9 inch wide rim?
Anyone fit xxr or avid rims?

If that budget is with tires, I would save up. The Evo 8 Enkei should be between 300-400 depending on condition. It also takes the guesswork out of seeing if they fit with the Brembo setup. I would try not to run spacers if possible. On the Evo 8 Enkei, you will want to look at a 235/40-45 to prevent rubbing. Even at that size tire, you will have some rub in the rear being lowered. Going wider is not necessary and will not be in your tight budget once you add all of the other costs of making them fit.

That's the budget just for rims. I can't find any Evo rims and I'm looking for something that will just fit. I'm not running spacers. You think I'll have rubbing in the rear with a 8 inch wide?

If anyone is running other rims you can post them.

With lowering springs it will be more difficult to fit a larger wheel setup without being able to adjust ride height. If i were you id invest that money into a Coilover setup that allows a lot more options.

Im running a 235/45/17 on my Evo 8s without spacers and/or any rubbing issues.

Evo rims in ANY condition are getting to be a unicorn anymore around here, shipping is out of the question at $100 per rim or whatever ridiculous amount they want to extort from honest people to ship them, I'm super glad that I managed to score a set in the fall up in Punxy.

I just bought 17X8 enkei T6S off ebay for $195ea with free shipping. I know thats a little more than your budget, but thats a great price for brand new rims. I got a 40mm offset in hopes it would clear, but I am about 2mm off. I will be running 5mm spacers, so a 35mm offset would do the trick. They came pretty fast and included center caps and the hubcentric rings.

I picked up a clean set with good tires for $300. I'm not sure exactly what part of PA your in but I see EVO 8s being sold all the time down here in MD and also NOVA. here's 2 sets and that's within 1min of looking.

Well I managed to score a set of evo 8 rims for 550 shipped. Im honestly not a big fan of those wheels but Im all about original. I just talked to a guy yesterday local about xxr rims he said he knows 3 people that cracked them. I do want to find other aftermarket budget rims that would fit.

I looked long and hard to try and find some wheels with the same $600.00 budget. I got lucky and found some clean wheels on craigslist but I did find that you could get the Rota Grids, and some Volk TE37 replicas for around $600.00. You need to mind your offset when you pick the wheels. The thing that was the biggest help for me was the tire size selection charts that were posted on here.
