kyle- No issues with the belt and I don't expect there to be any. Car has about 4k on it since manifold build. with many of them at the track and tuning sessions. By design I wanted longer runners approximately 27inches.

Gamble- tips for what? just make sure you have enough area to get your torch or tungsten around the pipe :)

Do you find having runners that long any more beneficial over a shorter runner design? I'd assume you would have heat loss and slightly slower spool?

In my case I wanted to move the powerband to the right versus my ported Evo III manifold. I hit 30 psi on the 3065 around 4600 rpm, with my header and the stock 2.0, with no fancy tuning. There is definitely a loss of spool time with my header compared to the evo III. If you take a peek at the thread that I Made while I was constructing the manifold, there is some more information in there, regarding long tube runners ( pulse converter effect).

I m sure Cody will chime in soon,as he has built a ton of headers.

This weekend I am welding a 10pt chromoly cage in my colt. Any tips for welding chromoly tube with ER80 filler rod ?

Am i the only one using 3/32 filler rod for flanges and 1/16 for sch10 i even use 3/32 for sch10 butt welds most the time... I hear people are using .045 but damn thats a LOT on the feed hand, like welding damn alum.

Heres some messing around with amp settings and dip practice nothing special, on sch10 and 3" 16g the small single bead is foot pulse practice.

My aluminum is terable, tips for a machine with no settings? Lol

Made revision to #1 and ran out of straight LOL
I dont know if it matters, but
2&3 are within 10-13" shorter than 1&4, but each pair is 2" max from each other that go to each side of the divider.
one side of the divider will pulse slower than the other but each pair going is equal within reason so since it's twin scroll, i don't expect any turbulence cause of that, anyone know if my theory is correct?

I see some swage!!!! Rockin it like a pressure vessel welder should! Guessing you got the clamps and fittings from work?

Hell yeah man :)

We have a swagelock rep that comes by frequent enough and we buy enough to get hook ups on pricing here and there.

The top port is a 1.5" S-line fitting for the fill port, as well as doubling as a breather too.

The cooler power supply port on the back of the 280DX is one of those computer power supply style plugs. I got a plug from digi-key and wired the electric motor to the Dynasty so the. Cooler runs anytime the welder is on. That way I do not have a 120 and 240 volt cord to string out.

What are you doing with that? I want to make a tow hook some day incase i break at the track, i wouodnt want the ass of my car to be broken by a stupid golf cart or ATV.

Heres mine from today. 2+ pounds weight reduction LOL
