Is a precision 6766 too much turbo to upgrade to with 400whp goals? I will be running stock internals for now with it and build my spare motor in the mean time and go for 600whp dd with that turbo in the built motor. I have a chance to get one for a good price but dont want to get it if its too much turbo for my application.

Here is what i know about it
Precision 6766 journal bearing turbo t4 twin scroll 1.15ar only been used for one weekend now the guy is going to a bigger turbo.

That's a massive Turbo to run. 400whp it's overkill. That's a 900+ rated Turbo. To run that you will need the full oil line kit for drainage and feed. I don't even think you'll be able to spool that on a stock engine. To answer you're question, that is major overkill for 400

Thats kinda what I was thinking, but wanted to check to be sure as the deal is pretty good on it. Probably just gonna try and find a good deal on a respectable 50 trim and go from there.

Yeah way too much turbo! I have a 6266 precision I couldn't imagine anything bigger for the streets. That big turbo for you hp goal of 400 will cause you to hate the turbo. Are you considering it an option because you know someone who is selling? Here is a good option for you http://www.precisionturbo.net/turbo...ails/Entry-Level-Turbocharger---5931E-MFS/524 that 600 would put you at about 450whp with quick spool and great efficiency.

That turbo would make your "400hp" at 12 psi LOL. that's a biiiiiig boy snail. So all you'd get is unbearable lag. I have
a PTE 5558 and put it through `4500 miles of abuse running it up to about the highest boost i could go with a stock IM, ported o2 and 3" exhaust, 33psi. My cal's were pretty accurate and she flowed very well. No play in it, never burned oil. They used to get a really bad rep here on the forums and even i was spooked to buy one.

If you want to hold on to it then buy it for later and just keep it lubed up so it doesnt rust or anything.

*What's up Kelton!!!! Hey, i'm trying to catch up and relearn all the DSM shit i've forgotten over the last year. I'll PM ya later. I think im getting back in the game
