I ended up selling the SAFC shortly after I bought it, and decided to also get rid of the Keydiver in favor of Ecmlink.

Well, this last weekend I installed my LC2, removed the Keydiver and put in Link (v3lite), and switched the 2G MAF for a GM MAFin a blowthrough as it was already installed near the TB when i bought the car.

After everything was in, i tried to start the car and it would crank but not start. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the COP setup, as i've read about changing firing order for coil on plug setups?

I also thought it may be because i was under the impression it was V3 full and it was in fact lite, so im using the "stock maf" option until i get funds to upgrade to v3 full.

It may be worth noting I'm using my Baro input to log my LC2 (which only shows up lc1 in the sensor list?) by cutting the baro wire right before the ecu and splicing in the yellow wire from the LC2 directly to the baro input that runs into the ecu.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! If I left out any possible details please ask away and I'll try to respond promptly!

Did you change the firing order IAW the DSMLink instructions? If not, that's your cause for the no start.

Thanks kauai, I've set injectors as far as filling in ecmlinks suggested starting values on their wiki page, I was getting my hopes up thinking it was because the maf cable isn't doing me any good with it being lite for the time being, but then I figure it would still at least start....

And 99gsx, I'm not sure I follow IAW? Could you explain that one to me? I'm fairly new to using link, my friend in town is going to actually tune it for me but I at least wanted to see if it would start and ensure I installed everything correctly.

You made sure to add your wideband in and hit save and also click narrow band sim on. Unless you still have stock O2's you also have to change the wb box to Baro hit save. Also when you deleted safc did you solder wires back together? Might wanna check over that. And iaw means in accordance with. Also did you say you got link used? It may be setup wrong in a few spots. I have a cop setup and link and didn't have to switch anything. I beleive that's only referring to using a 97-99 ecu in a 1g.

I retained my 02 sensor and have it logged under the baro input.

I made sure before starting I had everything back together correctly as far as the airflow sensor soldered together (made sure it idled decent and the CEL was gone)

Yes I bought it used and found out it was v3lite.

That's where I think I might have my issue, as I'm not running a MAFT, I have the ecmlink maf cable hooked up in preparation of me buying the full version. Since it's lite I don't have the option of "gm maf" in the maf type selection.

I'll try to unplug it and start it, if no luck I'll either plug in a maft I have, or plug the 2g maf in again, since it's still installed until I receive my FP air filter.

I'll feel silly if my problem is having the cable installed already as my thinking would be the car would still at least start, with a probable bad idle.

Thanks for everyone's input thus far, though! I made the right move to join the DSM community!

Haha, thank you! That's what confuses me....with the gm maf plugged in, even though it's not doing anything with the ecmlink maf cable right now, it doesn't start...but with no maf even hooked up, it did...I guess the ecu just estimates airflow from tps?

Not out of the woods yet, though! I believe a wire broke leading to my thermostat causing it to stay closed, because when I shut the car off I had coolant drain out of I believe the water pipe (can't be certain as I have a heat shield over the exhaust mani)

My bet is on the water pipe though, the way it was set up seems like a rush job....the center is hacked out of it and the ends are connected by hose and hose clamps. Time for a N/T water pipe!

My heart sank a little bit when I saw the leak :(

But that's ok, time to improve the design!
