Ok so I recently purchased rear speakers and the magnet does not fit. I have read that you just hammer out the metal to make them fit. I also read it is not the wheel well so I can do this. Has anyone done this? I am afraid to hammer and break the plastic mount once the metal starts to bend or warp where the plastic mount's holes are so it will not go back in once I hammer it.

Also has anyone installed a Alpine KTP-445U? I soldered the speakers to the amp and connected the RCA's to the head unit but I do not know where to solder the head unit's yellow constant and black ground in terms of the battery, harness, and the amps yellow and black? It is just a 4 channel system, head unit, and battery. Nothing special (like tweeters and sub).

Thanks!

it worked for me but i don't know if your magnets are larger . you can test fit to see how it turns out .

well how much more room do you need, if its just a little bit then a spacer will work and the cover will fit but if its like excessive u may need the spacer and some love from a hammer, i had to do this on an old car when i put 6x9 in a 6x7 hole LOL

Just to update everyone I did install these and had zero issues and didn't need to hammer anything behind the speaker bracket. Simple solder job and they work great and sound amazing! Highly recommend them especially for the price!
