I recently had an issue with the car not going into gear while running and clutch engagement was right off of the floor. I replaced the following:
Rebuilt master cylinder
Rebuilt slave cylinder
Full stainless line
New OEM TOB
New OEM TOB clip
New OEM pivot ball
New South Bend SS/TZ Clutch and Pressure plate
New ACT Streetlite flywheel
New ARP Flywheel bolts
Hydraulics are bled using a vacuum bleeder.
Clutch pedal assembly is newly rebuilt with 75 miles on it.
I got the car running again, shifted perfectly, and engagement was near the middle of pedal travel.
After about 75 miles I noticed the pedal engaging lower and within the next 5 miles the car would no longer go into gear again. I moved the adjustment rod all the way out (no threads showing towards the pedal) and the car will still not go into gear while running. Using Jacks Trans adjustment method, the slave cylinder always pushes back into itself regardless of adjustment rod position. Even all the way adjusted out. Shift linkage is clipped in properly and works with the car off.
Any other suggestions as to what could be happening here?
thanks,
Kevin
