So I bought these kyb agx struts and eibach pro kit springs (already installed on them)and installed them. The gap is huge! From all the pics of other DSMs it shouldn't be this big.

FYI the car has had them mounted for months now and they have "settled" but still didn't change any gap.

Any ideas?

The eibach pro kits weren't known to lower a car very much I thought, maybe only an inch if that if i remember correctly.

Wow that does look off, I've got the same setup in my car, granted I have 18s, and I have around an inch to an 11/2 gap give or take a little.

Why does wheel diameter matter? What matters is what tire and aspect ratio you chose to go along with that wheel diameter.

Its a awd car, maybe the previous owner of them had fwd springs? I looked up the stock numbers and they were eibach pro kit however so I'm at a loss and confused.

what I don't get is there isn't much room left between the tire and part of the strut so if I went with the larger tire it would rub

Has the car just been sitting for months, or has it actually been driven?

Hasn't been driven in like a year and the struts have been on there the hole time.

Every other install pic I have seen with these springs drops a lot more. This is like 5 knuckles plus, other people claim its like 3 or less after the install.

Awd or fwd springs? Thatll make a significant difference

Yes the car has the motor in, as far as install, the springs were already installed on the shocks when i bought them. I simply bolted the struts in.

Lastly, i was told they were awd springs when i bought them off a member on here. And when i check the spring ID numbers, they supposedly matched awd springs from eibach.

Also if anything....fwd springs have a lower spring rate, awd springs are higher due to heavier weight in rear. Techniqually they would fit and should sag more if they were installed. So im guessing the guy before me had installed the springs incorrectly into the shocks. Looks like ill be taking them off and check, or none the less replace them with some lower springs.

So just checked the part number on the springs and called eibach and they confirmed they are pro kit springs... just really weird how much gap I have. I know i have stripped and gutted this car, also checked the installment and the springs seem to be installed correctly, but still have no idea why its so high.
