Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my 98 GST and oil is dripping onto my fron cross member and I don't see anywhere that it could be leaking from, at first I thought it was the pan, so I replaced it with a new one, but i can't see any oil dripping from around it or through any of the bolts. And I have checked pretty much everywhere else where it could leak from, valve cover is fine, rear main seal looks good along with rear main case gasket.

Is there any other thing that could leak oil towards the back of the engine?

It could be the castle plug. Front balance shaft seal being spun from the belt and then out of the covers over time. This is exactly what happened to me so its worth a mention

You sure it's from the back? If you clean the crossmember, how much time does it take to coat it again? Did you check the bottom of your turbo and the oil drain tube?

Well what I meant by the back was where the trans and engine bolt together, sorry on that,

As for the turbo return I looked closer and saw a small amount coming from up top but not sure where exactly it's coming from, but I don't think that it would cause the amount of oil that I am seeing

and I have seen some things about that inspection plug, but so far I haven't been able to find a picture of it exactly which hole it is

If you still haven't found out where it is coming from I suggest cleaning everything up, turning the car on and letting it run without driving it so that the wind doesn't blow oil around. By doing this you will be able to narrow down exactly where it is coming from.
