Why are you replacing the rear BS bearing?

With the engine out, flip the bearings.

Make sure you run a grooved stubby shaft.
 
What hes saying is on the rear balance shaft if you have a stub shaft you need no bearing at all. Front shaft you do.
 
That is the in car BSE leaving the front shaft in. You can do it that way.

If you pull the front shaft and flip the bearing, you drop a few more lbs.

With the stub shaft you have no need for the rear BS bearing.
 
Leaving the front shaft in for the sake of oil pressure seems very silly to me. There are known ways to deal with this.
 
Okay so I saw the post from Jackson. its intriguing how ever for the average person who noticed it. I mean people have been eliminating them for years how ever that being say. Who says keep them in. and who says toss them out
 
I was just reading about this last night. I found the jacks trans article. Then found a thread on one of the DSM sites where everyone pretty much ridiculed the poor guy. Basically Buschur even tuned and said that he eliminates them and he has the records to prove it. I decided to eliminate mine and not going to think about it anymore.

Oh and i was paraphrasing so if I offended anyone by my interpretation of the thread above. I skimmed through it at some point. No disrespect intended
 
Eliminate them entirely if the engine's out- don't leave the front shaft in.

Race shaft or stub on the rear- that's up to you. I've been doing the stub shaft for the 11 years I've been heavily into these cars and never had a single issue related to balance shaft elimination.
