It's hasn't been made too public because there's a muscle car event but there's also going to be a test and tune class on Sunday (April 6th), gates open at 9am.

I plan on going, hopefully see a few DSMers there. If you see me in the pits swing by and say hi.

I probably won't make it until may. Just trying to get everything 100% sorted, and a good kill setting tune done. I'll only get 1 full run in so I'd hate to get booted for a sub par run. I refuse to cage my car, as it's a full street car with a/c and a stereo. I'm not driving everywhere with a helmet on.

It's also a little far for me to go just to hang out. I live 10 minutes from speed world, and used to go there fairly often. But, speed world is no more sadly.

Because it's a sponsored event and not just the Friday Night Drags TnT you probably would get the boot, unfortunately. Last Friday night I went and stock Mustangs were getting tech'd for 10's with absolutely ZERO safety equipment to run it. A friend went and asked one of them how he teched for 10's with no cage and he said because the car was new and came from the factory with a lot of power... :hmm: ...then the guy ran a 14.xxx. ROFL

Anyway, they don't really tech cars on Friday night drags. You fill out the tech card, show them your helmet and drivers license and you're done. Didn't even bother opening the hood so you may consider showing up in the next week or two. If you're moving that quick dude, street tuning the car has got to be scary since I don't like doing 3rd gear pulls in my 400hp car passed 6k which is why I did a shakedown rolling into 3rd my first pass or two. Besides, it isn't getting any cooler out and before you know it you'll be seeing 115* days...

It's an fp red auto setup. I get more et for the whp than a manual. Scary was driving on 20+ year old stock suspension in a 500whp car. Nothing really scary about the current setup. With the auto, coil overs, and 245 tires it hooks and goes straight. Not expecting anything crazy out of it, but slower than 11.49 would be underperforming for the setup.

Also, I don't know what part of the valley you're in, but I'm in the far west valley. Brand new 4 lane roads with miles long straightaways, and no other cars.

The farthest I could possibly live away from you and still be in AZ. My corner streets are Riggs and Val Vista in Gilbert.

Lucky to have roads like that, I still live in the "sticks" and they're single lane each way and not very well maintained.

Hey gofer were you out at wildhorse pass last week? I think I seen you run once but I wasn't sure it was you. I'm gonna try to run my car at the next Friday night drags but I think the next two weeks they won't be having them.

holy jesus 30 bucks to run 2 times now? That sucks. when i get my car back together we should roll out there gofer, i live like 10 min from you on val vista and ocotillo

You can run as many times as you can from 7pm to 12am for $30, just lately the lines have been so long you're lucky to get 3 passes. It's probably possible to get 3 passes in IF you don't go back to the pits, you just get your timeslip and go right back to the line and wait for an hour before your next run...

I wouldn't mind rolling to WHPMP with you from my place but I work Friday's until 6pm so I go straight there from work. I'm going on the 25th, it will be my last time at the track until it cools off again this fall.

i remember when i used to go out there on a good night id get 4 passes most of the time i only got 2. But i am up for hitting up the track. Ill hopefully be able to head out there to run my avenger just to see what its got
