I have a question about my piston and rods . Can I use a stock piston and eagle rod combo? My goal is 350 . My crankwalk an eat my stock rods .

Nope they are not i was saying that extremepsi should have stock rods but im not 100% if they do as ive never bought stock rods because for just a little bit more money you can buy forged rods meaning like why waste the money kinda thing

Here, my friend, this shows more or less how the Mitsu rods are made from the factory, which is a forging process:

If you look on the stock rods you'll see the parting line for the forging die. Hope this helps clear up your confusion on this.

One thing is for sure, I'd hate to be the guy standing on that assembly line. What if you had to sneeze right while the press was about to slam down?

For future reference, here's how to tell the difference between a forged and a cast part:

The one on the left has a very broad 'parting line' because of how forging dies are constructed; it's forged

The one on the right has a very fine parting line because casting molds for a con rod consist of a cope and a drag which mate together much more precisely than a pair of forging dies.
