I have a question about my piston and rods . Can I use a stock piston and eagle rod combo? My goal is 350 . My crankwalk an eat my stock rods .

It depends on how bad the crank walked.. if the crank got into the block, then yes the block needs replaced.

If it was caught before it got into the block, then check the main bores for size and alignment and move on with the build.

My bad I meant that I spund a rod bearing and it eats have of the rod Bearing an I have to get my crank turned to .020 . So my problem was that my rod cap had some scratches on it and .

have the machine shop remove the oil galley balls in the crank so all the crud can be cleaned out

There no point of buying forged postons and rods for 300 hp and I said that I spund a rod bearing . I corrected myself .

yeah the rods and pistons aftermarket can get high dollar but if you go just a bit better then stock it wont be to much

This is especially important if you are having the crank turned. The metal shavings from turning the crankshaft will go into oil galley and without proper cleaning, these shaving will eventually end up in your oil during operation.

Some machine shops do not know how to remove them (thats my experience) so make sure you ask some questions.

Look in the vendors here pretty sure extreme psi has them though but ive never bough stock rods because for a little bit more you can go forged

I'm not sure if this is a typo or I'm misreading, but stock rods are 'forged'.

Also, to Candido, if your power goal is 300hp there is absolutely no need for a beefed up bottom end. I'll go further in saying that at your power goal, if you go with aftermarket pistons, long term durability will be more of an issue than stock pistons because they require looser bore tolerances to account for the extra thermal growth they'll experience. This will wear your bores out quicker every time you crank up the engine.

My advice is to go to pick a part somewhere and pull a 4g out of a donor vehicle OR shop around on here for someone looking to get rid of a stock set of pistons and rods.

Also, Craigslist is your friend for spares as well. I've been pleasantly surprised at some of the DSM stuff I've found on Craigslist (spoken like a true DSM cheapskate!).

400 or less and the stock rod will be fine.

Yes all rods are forged, but on the forum the term "forged" means aftermarket and/or H beam rod

I have taken a liking to the BC rods, they are priced about the same as a Eagle or manley, but of all of them The BC seem to be more consistent on the weights right out the box.

For pistons, manley, wiseco, JE and CP have all been used, but search the forum enough you will find issues with each.

Nope they are not i was saying that extremepsi should have stock rods but im not 100% if they do as ive never bought stock rods because for just a little bit more money you can buy forged rods meaning like why waste the money kinda thing
