Well it sure has been a while! Hope everyone had a great christmas and new year! Progress on the talon hasnt really been going well, starting to lose that inspiration i once had :/ but im soo far into it so i cant stop. Hopefully it will be on all 4 by the beginning of the summer and driving sometime mid summer. Due to saving for school i only really have a budget to buy ecmlink, 750cc injectors, and gaskets. Downpipe and exhaust im going to weld up myself with the help of my friend to keep cost a little down. I got my hands on a small 16g for $75 which needs a new hotside and compressor wheel. I honestly might sell it and get myself a 14b in better condition...For now the talon is sitting up on jack stands till it gets a little warmer outside. A high of +2 tomorrow! Crazy for January

I just stumbled across this Thread. I'm from Portage la Prairie

Mine shit the bed on the Henderson overpass later last year. Two seconds into fourth on a small pull uphill and it just shut off. Spent an hour on the side trying to figure WTF, decided to give up and try to drive home. Got me across the city and in the driveway at least, although intermittent misfires. No oil or coolant loss, no knocking that I could hear, but it suddenly now wanted to pull 18% fuel to maintain stoich. neato. parked it.

We'll see what happens this year once it warms up.. home renovations are a money pit :( I'd hate to sell it because I have no money to spare, but we'll see.

Good way to end the season! haha just kidding that sucks. Lost my full time job last year and now im only working part time so funds for the talon just went down the shitter for now. Saving up to go on some trips this summer to visit some car shows, watch some racing, and take pictures for my website..

@curt-s Do you have a write up on your tail lights? I have a spare set id like to try with in my spare time :)

Write up, no, but I can explain some time in person.

They were not a cheap affair, though. Between the supplies, prototypes, and parts themselves, it cost at least 700 bucks. Of course, without the need for prototypes now, one can go directly to the end result and spend only about half that, maybe a tad more.

Im from tcona! Seen acouple dsms around always give a thumbs up ! Watch out for my laser! Anyone in winnipeg got a plymouth laser? Have yet yo see one haha except mine of cource ROFL oh and one in steinbach I got some.turbo stuff from and a light ,LOL

We should set up a dsm cruise night id love to go down portage reppin dsms to many damn ricer hondas these days haha

Possibly, I'd have to see if I put mine back on the road first.

I wouldn't mind a collective cruise, provided everybody acts mature. Light to light is lame, dangerous, and pointless. Besides, it's much more fun just watching them try to bait you into something and then flat turning them down with a thumbs up.

It's all about closing that gap quicker than they can react when they try to pass you in the curb lane, anyway :) within legal limits, of course.

Will have to see then!

Ya i've defiantly seen you around ek/tcona, I'll plan a cruise sometime this summer. If your all on facebook join Manitoba DSM, Usually we're all active on there.

On another note the paint on the esi is starting to peel and bubble so, I'll be painting it this summer and got some suspension goodies for it. This summer should be good!

What a total pain in the ass pushing this thing backwards up an incline in the soft ground. Nevertheless, first step complete.

That coupler is right off the j-pipe, and the burst side faces the turbo.

Around 20psi with a weakened coupler apparently. That entire intercooler setup is removed now anyway.

Anybody need a core and 2-2.25" aluminum piping in a long-route configuration with most of the couplers :p

Tentatively aiming for end of next week to have it back on the road, if everything plays nice. Lots of work to do and still have yet to change out the oil from last season.. Always a stressful procedure, looking in that drainpan.

Hey fellow peg city dsm community. I didn't realize how active this thread was because I forgot to follow and bookmark, any ways I was out driving around last weekend on sunday and there was quiet the squad of dsm rolling down main to portage. I thought it was pretty sweet seeing such a dying scene of older dsm rolling 8 deep. Anyways it just makes me want to get my eagle talon I picked up 6 months ago on the road. I got it for a steal just needed some love as the last owner had some problems he couldn't figure out. Turned out between the ecu and the crankshaft pulley separated It fired right up. Id love to hang with some guys after the same goals. Power and class!

Huh, another all-silver 1g. sweet. It's going to be an funny sight with an a and b in the same colour scheme rolling down the road :p
I didn't know there were that many still left around. Sounds like it might be an interesting spring and summer.

We'll truth be told that curt Is my very first car and first gen. Loved it to pieces. But I bought another one that's just an old pic of mine this is mine in the display now. I have seen maybe 4 or 5 this year to date in the north main area. I'm going to need to so some paint on mine this year. But I need to do the safety. And dual calliper big brake kit on mine. I got some from bucks off a dodge stealth that I think will work with some brake modification. But I'm sure it was a straight bolt on.

Well I am not going to be oiut this weekend, for obvious reasons such as weather and I haven't finished the car yet, so my new goal is next weekend. Or during the week. See how it goes. This year is better than last year setup-wise.
