I'm wondering if you got your money back through the claim. I don't understand why you didn't want to let them correct their mistakes? Is it because you want free paint job?

The paint job is actually holding up good. The only problem is the hood. I paid them to strip it down and repaint it because the hood was just in horrible shape. And wouldn't you know the only problems , well bigger problems, are the hood. I have court in about 2 weeks and will post what happens. My wifes a lawyer and gave me great advice.

I don't expect anything for free, but fool me once shame on you, and thats all you get with me. I dont give second chances especially if i paid you.

in my area ,maaco is the only shop that will paint a car without collision damage . the others say it doesnt pay enough, and that people are too particular when they just do paint. one of my customers had maaco do a complete job ,prep and all the cost $2500 ,and it looks flawless. all comes down to pride in your work. i hear you though ,if you paint cars all day , it seems like you would do it right the first time or ty to make it right rather than make excuses. it sucks when you pay to be practice for a novice or the victim of indifference

Love the color! Hate the painters craftmanship. I've thought about having the imperfections on my paint touched up by maaco, but I guess paint job quality like many things is one of those "you get what you pay for" things. The color will pop with the windows tinted, I can vouch for that! Nice car man!

Maaco painted it but i prepped everything. They did a half assed job. Its my dd so im pleased with the results. It does stick out like a sore thumb but thats how i roll!
Thread revival LOL You do get what you pay for, is it a 10ft paint job? Looks okay from the first pictures but looks like it needs more clear. if i was doing a repaint I'd probably have gone GTR white and done it myself or taken it to a real professional. But thats just me. A good good apint job could cost up to 7k deoending on what you wanted in the color including a full strip. At some point when I'm up to my 1/4 mile goals i wanter to media blast the shell inside and out repaint everything and re assemble like new from mitsu

Id say its a 30ft paint job haha. There's no way i would pay 7k to paint this car. No way. If i had that much change layin around id spend it entirely on performance. But this car will be my sons in near future so that will be his decision.

Just got my gsx back this afternoon and i must say it looks pretty dang good. Already have gotten many compliments and lots of rubberneckers. The color is omaha orange. I have always loved this color. Its amazing how a new paint job can make you realize that your tires and rims look like they need to be refreshed as well. Anyways, let me know what you guys think.

That looks great, did you do it yourself or did you pay for that?

Even with the little stuff, i like it. Just hope it doesn't chip off after 2 months like mine did, and I paid well over 2k for my paint job

Update: I won my lawsuit against maaco on thursday. Judge awarded me around 500 for my spot on hood where paint peeled. Its about the size of a quarter. Gonna put a little primer over it and a decal haha. Well now i have a lil change to invest back in my car so all is well.

How much you pay maaco? And you prepped it yourself how much was the total of all of it?

Forgot to add. I won my court case against maaco. Was awarded 450 plus my court fees . I let maaco have it and made the owner look like a retard in front of the judge. My wifes a lawyer so it was a walk in the park for me.

That orange looks amazing! Not a color you see everyday... Especially on an eclipse!

Great choice!
