How does this sound for a block vent baffle? Yes I have read all the other posts about block venting. I don't want to have a hose running all the way around my block. Read more and you will understand.
I am building a 500-600hp 4g64 (4g63 head) for my RWD car and I am planning on putting a vacuum pump where the stock power steering pump normally goes. I would like to have it plumbed into the balance shaft right under the old power steering pump since I will not be running the balance shaft.
What I am thinking is a pipe that I could slide into the balance shaft tunnel so that it would be easy to install and not require any mounting or fitting. I'm thinking the pipe could actually just be some rolled or folded metal sheets or something like chicken wire (wire fence) that is rolled up.
What do you think? I would like to hear other suggestions but I am not interested in using the intake side balance shaft inspection hole that has already been posted about. I'm looking for ideas for the this location.
Thanks.
