I am getting ready to purchase my FMIC and I have been going over pictures to make sure I order the right parts. More specifically the J-Pipe options.
The turbo on my 2g 1999 gst says TD05. It has had a motor swap though. Sometime before I bought the car. It has the turbo outlet on the bottom of the car. The outlet has a 2 bolt flange with a pipe bolted to it that routs to the stock SMIC.
All the 16g style turbos I see have the turbo outlet up on top. Near the manifold flange. So I'm sure I don't have a 16g.
I have always assumed that it was a 14b. The Punishment Racing FMIC kit offers j pipe options for 14b/16g or downward facing turbos.
Which option do I choose?
I can upload a pic of the turbo tomorrow when there is light but if anyone has ordered the PR FMIC and knows what turbo I have based on my description, can you help a brother out?
