Wanted to stop in, I'm new to the dsm's working on a 91 tsi with some issues. slowly but surely getting it fixed up.

Well doing it slowly mean that you are taking your time to do it right and this is very important because a dsm needs to be done right as this leads to enjoyment that you will never experience with no other car;) Keep up posted and if any of us can help let us know.
 
and of course after fixing a few things i found my intake manifold is leaking and knock sensor is bad. thats alright i guess gives me a reason to rebuild a little

Boost leak? That can be a tuning nightmare. Check over the throttle body's well I ended rebuilding mine as a result of a leak.
At least your in bearable outside temps to work on it, LOL I'd wait for warmer weather to start working on mine again! Lol.
