well I'm trying to figure out which of these rims would look best and would actually work on my car without having any rubbing problems and I'm not looking to do the ghetto tire stretch that to me just looks down right ugly. so let me know what you guys think and which you think i should go for i will post links for the wheels and hopefully you guys/gals can help me out if they won't work I'm trying to run them in 17s but if the 18s will work i will go with the first choice. enkei's are my wheel of choice they have never let me down.

You will need to consider the width and offset of the wheel as well, not just the diameter.

I haven't been very long, but there is an extremely helpful thread about wheel sizing posted in this very forum:

(Not the one I was looking for but it's helpful)

The 1st ones you posted remind me of the EvoX wheels. Are you against a simple fender roll?

I run an 18x8 rim with a +45 offse, i managed to fit 245/40s with just a 5mm spacer. Zero room for error with this setup. Hope this helps

I had a little bit of tire stretch with the 225s I used to run.

Offset is a huge factor in if it will rub or not. I run 17X8 +38 running 245/40/17s with no rubbing. Buddy is running 17X9 +35 running 255s and only rubs on VERY hard turns. Also how low you are/will be will play a big part in I'd they will fit

the car will be getting raised back up i let my friend try to do the suspension on my car for learning purposes and he left it pretty low and I'm not really a fan of this low .

max ive seen would be a 18x9 +45 offset im not sure what size tires they were but im sure you could find it if you looked i was going to get that size for my 2g but its very close to rubbing i would go with a 17x8 if i were you gives you more tire choices at that size and wont have really much trouble with the setup

oh and i would go with the first wheels you listed i like them much better im not a fan of 5 star wheels

I have 18s with 225/40 I'm not sure the offset or width because I bought them off someone who had them on a dsm with a widebody. But I have no rubbing and didn't roll my fenders.
