Some updates:
Still waiting on JAM to finish the machine work. So I am tackling a few other projects in the mean time.

First up was to address the stock hard fuel lines . Upgraded to -08an feed and a -06an return. Went with stainless braided feed and just push lock return

Next project up was the auto trans and shifter. The stock shifter with the Kiggly manumatic mod, trying to shift it at this power level has become a little tricky.
Luckily I came across another member selling a b&m pro ratchet shifter.i also bought a built 1g auto trans. It has the Kiggly front clutches, IPT end clutches, welded center diff.
Also finally got a good converter as well. Got a used Bradco that is supposed be able to get me 165mph at the top of 3rd. My current converter would only do 126mph at the top of 3rd.

Next the turbo came back from Turbolab of America . Billet 67x89 compressor wheel which tapers to 95mm. The turbine wheel is a Holset h1e 76x67mm.
I'm using a modified Holset 12cm2 housing that Turbolab machined and welded a 3"vband onto.

I'm on e85. I also have ordered one of calans fuel hangers. Going to run my 450lph and 255lph . Going to try to squeeze both in the tank and see what how that goes. I know the 450 has a wider base so I'm not sure it'll fit, guess we will see.

Looking at the stock control arms and front subframe I wanted to replace all the bushings. But when I took them apart, I noticed they were beyond repair. I found a guy that made a tubular chromoly front k member, so after working out the details, I pulled the trigger. What a great piece. Total weight savings is a lot, around 45 lbs plus I got a front crossmember as well, also deleted the lateral arms that connect the 2 since Im drag racing the car.

The old junkyard engine is out. Kind of sad really since the only time this car has ever been fast at all, was with this engine. Now it's just "The Slingshot" . old engine is out. Still waiting on JAM to get the engine to me, which is the last piece of the puzzle .

Got a used magnus v3 . Going to powder coat it along with a few other items. Had a lot of casting marks on it so I cleaned them up with help from a friend .

Can't wait to see this, interested to see how that housing works out for you.
I think a bigger one would match your build better, but not like you won't be making good power with the one you have.

Before I recommend anything I always test it so give me a month or so and I'll be on the road and let you guys know .

Looking good. Can't wait to see the finished product. Glad we could be a part of it. :thumb:

Got everything back from the powder coater, turned out great!
Engine is finally on its way from Jackson Auto Machine! What a nightmare its been. I'll elaborate at the end of the week about the details . Here's some pics of the powdercoating .

This was all done by a local business called precision powder coating. Valve cover, fuel rail, and magnus cast manifold all done in wrinkle black . K member and front crossmember done in satin black while the turbo was done in metallic violet .

Another thing that came in is one of Craig's (aka Calan) fuel hanger. I went with a double pump version, though it had never been tried, I wanted to run a walbro 450 with a 255. The 450 is wide at the base so it was thought it wouldn't fit .
Got it all mocked up and installed today and it just barely fits . You have to tilt the hanger sideways to make it in but it's not hard to get in/out.

The hanger is very good quality and Craig was more than helpful. I highly recommend his hangers.

Your build is coming together nicely!

One issue I had in the past is I used two mismatched 255s. One was a LP and one was a HP, punched the reliefs on both pumps, however under full boost car would break up and run crazy lean. Switched to a matching set and problem went away completely. I always started using matching pumps after that. My one friend stuffed 2 450s into his tank! Said it was a bi*** but he got it in, just a thought. Keep up the good work sir!

Good info . Hopefully mine doesn't have an issue but I'll definitely keep an eye on it . Thanks

Engine is back from Jacson Auto Machine. Machine work looks very good. They ported the head and installed 1mm oversized valves and bronze guides. Port work looks ok, about what I expected.

I think the machine work is good, but I'd have been much better off and saved a lot of money doing this locally.

Back on track. Engine assembly went well. Using a cometic headgasket for this as well as l19 headstuds. New oem oil and water pumps, OEM timing belt and components, GSC s3 cams, hks cam gears.
Other things added was a msd dis2. Wiring this wasn't too bad while the engine was out. Just basicly installing the msd in series with your coil . I made a bracket for it to sit above the booster.

First little snag was the engine mount brackets I have must be for a 5spd. The only explanation to why this bolted up before is the old rubber mounts had enough play, but now with the solid front and rear, it's not even close. Luckily a friend found a set and is shipping them out.

Second major snag was when I went to turn the engine over it had absolutely zero compression. After much testing it was clear that the GSC zero tick lifters were the issue and after closer inspection, they are a bit longer . Gsc was very helpful and did say that of the valve job was done with very tight tolerances then it was leave them open. Swapped them for a set of 2nd revision lifters I had here and boom, we have compression.

Still a lot to do, including fab a downpipe, and intercooler piping for the new setup. Fix the tach signal with a tach adapter for the msd, and get this crazy thing aligned and tuned .
