Hi from what I know my suspension is stock on my gst and im looking to upgrade I want lowering springs I was looking to get eibach lowering springs which were only 225 but know I have to buy performance shocks and a camber kit like tociko or kyb which are expensive my budget is about 550 I was looking to get this Tokico HPK Shock/Spring Mitsubishi Eclipse Lowering Kit [2WD] (95-99) HPK231 its only 430$ which saves me the hassle of spending on the shocks but I dont know how good these springs are compared to the eibach if I bought the eibach springs and shocks separately which are about 80$ a piece and Ihave to buy the eibach camber kit which I another 100$ so im looking at over 600$ anyone got suggestions?

Those are a few good threads on the subject

Breakdown:

Tokico spring rate = 285/160 lbs/in
Eibach-Pro spring rate = 267/154 lbs/in (Progressive Springs so average was used)
2gb FWD OEM spring rate = 246/151 lbs/in

According to the threads, you won't need a camber kit for the front, just the rear. They will most likely have that at the alignment shop, or you can just use washers, so that should save you some money in that department.

As to which springs are better, probably the eibachs, but I would doubt you would notice a huge difference between the two. That kit will serve you just fine if you are looking mainly to lower your car and stiffen up your suspension a bit for a daily driven or street driven vehicle.

The best combo for handling, ride, and money for under 2k though, will always be the koni/ground control, just fyi.

I'm also looking for a good shock/spring combo. My car is currently lowered and the front shocks have definitely given out, bumps up and down like crazy anytime I hit a bump in the road; I wanna raise it back up to the factory height due to the terrible road conditions here in VA. I wanna go with the koni/ground control combo, it there anything else I should look into?
