Hi,

I've noticed my windshield has cracked pretty bad in the middle-bottom and started to spider-web to the top/sides. I believe it might be from the way I drive into the garage: it has a steep entry- underground garages, so to not hit the bottom of the car I have to drive in sideways and I believe the body is twisting a bit. After a year of doing so (possibly) my windshield gave up.
Do you know any precautions I can take so the new windshield did not crack the next day I replace this OEM one? I believe aftermarket one will be less rigid and could crack much quicker... Will Front/Rear tower braces hep? I'm also considering replacing Rear sway bar with the stronger one.

Can you suggest other ways to stiffen the body? Thanks

Car: 2G GST with lowered suspension (stock shocks, aftermarket springs)

I know the Spyder windshield is a good amount thicker then the normal gst/gsx windshield, perhaps (with a little research) it's possible to install the Spyder glass in place of the thinner, more crack prone style.

Good point if you're buying an OEM windshield but in this case I have no choice but to go aftermarket as we don't have many 2Gs laying around in the scrap yards in my country not to mention the Spyder ones. It's like finding a Unicorn just walking down the street. :)

I've bought front/rear strut braces, in a search for a galant lower sway bar- hopefully that would help a bit... It's not easy to source these parts in a country where I live- so it can take a while :)

Glass is pretty flexible. Either it was installed wrong in the first place, or the windshield frame is incredibly rusted out. Windshields don't just crack from driving on un-level surfaces.
