Hello I just bought a 2g gst. I just did all the tune ups on the car. timing belt, vacuum leaks, boost leaks, basically everything checks. So i want to start upgrading the car for more power. Ive searched but cant really find much, How do i get more power on the stock turbo? (I want to keep the stock turbo). I read up on getting ecmlink and all that jazz, Im familiar with turboed cars because i had a gti. So i know to uprage the down pipe, intake, more boost. But i know i will need a bigger pump. can someone walk me through on getting the most power safely on this car while keeping the stock turbo. Can i hit around the 300hp mark?. Thanks alot!!

This is easily one of the best forums and has pretty much the whole DSM community in one place and extensive research has been done in all areas, use the search function and click on any of them in the future as it will save YOU time and is a very helpful tool. You'll want a walbro 255 pump re-wired, manual boost control 16g turbo and supporting stuff and dsmlink. 300whp is a sinch on these cars and they are reliable so long as you keep up with maintenance and use proper fluids :) welcome to the family :thumb:

Why are you set on keeping the stock turbo? I don't believe 300whp is quite achievable on the t25. If so, not easily. There are many replacement turbos that will bolt right up in stock location without changing a thing that are capable of 300whp and more easily. Also, check out other members mods lists that are making 300whp and the upgrade path. 300whp is quite simple to obtain on these cars.

Agreed, 16g and supporting mods and you're done

Evo3 16g with full intake and exhaust is where it's at.

Edit* with supporting mods of course.

The t-25 really isn't a good turbo for that as stated above and it's out its efficiency range if it does reach over 300 (an overkill). With an authentic Mitsubishi heavy industries small or the evo316g turbo that can be done a lot more efficiently and give a better platform to work with (I had both these in the past). All though there's many to choose from, a Forced Performance 68hta or 71hta (which I run and its awesome!!!) turbo I would strongly suggest and recommend (& if cost really isn't a factor) then you would have a bunch more room to work with from there. As you already know ecm link v3 full is great and absolutely rocks! Try to keep things efficient, safe, cool and as leak free as possible! This should help guide you in a better direction. Feel free to ask other questions or check out other members set ups to help as well.
